Our Cost of Living for 28 days in Pachuca

In this video we show you around Hidalgo's capital city of Pachuca. We visit a huge Jesus statue on a hill (Cristo Rey), a super colorful neighborhood (Las Palmitas), and the largest pedestrian mural in the world (Pisal de Byron Gálvez). We also show you another example of what malls look like in Mexico, do a deep dive into a "local" dish (from England), and later we give you tour of our AirBnb and break down our expenses after living here for 28 days.

Hola Georgia and David. I'm so sorry to hear about Meep. Not surprising, however, considering her age. She had as good a life as a dog could have, and had the opportunity to visit many interesting archaeological sites. I wonder what she made of all the exotic smells she discovered in Mexico. When i was a kid our family had a Keeshond. It lived to 14. It's not easy to lose a beloved family member, but you have many great memories. In 1974 my five month trip included driving 17,000 miles. I'm glad Pemex 100 (probably no longer available) was about 35 cents a gallon. I spent more than three times as much on 107 rolls of slide film. If the clock tower gets a couple more coats of graffiti the paint will be solid enough to qualify as a modern art mural. Nice job of filming the tile mosaic, even with the restrictions that are in place. I hope you get a chance to return to Hidalgo. There are so many fascinating towns to visit that are not pueblo magicos. There are many great conventos that you missed, the scenery around Molango is beautiful (and the convento is picturesque), and the market in Acaxochitlan, according to a reliable informant, remains the most traditional and authentic in the area. Did you drive back or store the car in Mexico? Enjoy your R and R. You must have another 7-8 videos to get you through the summer, so there are still plenty of videos for your subscribers to watch. Thanks, it still hurts but we know she was so happy and it's nice to look back at all the footage we have of her adventures. The gas here is expensive $90 usd to fill up now. Glad we don't have the expense of film or the hassle of getting it developed. Hopefully we will be back in the future, you know we love conventos and we didn't get to the grutas. The Jeep is in storage and we will pick it up after we are done with CDMX. We are very cool at the moment we ended up taking a flight to Europe and are currently in Latvia where the high is 67.

gas is lot more expensive than in the States. Considering everything else pretty cheap pretty damn worth it.

Nice video but........geez thats more expensive than living here in SWFL. over 700 in gas??? wow. That is a LOT of driving!!!!

Yes many of the 14 day trips were 2-4hour round trip drives and gas is more expensive in Mexico than in the US.
