My friend played the wound-build at a time when we had a Prism, Blinkblade and Deathwalker in the party. Especially BBs "Sand in the hourglass" was very fun with that combo.

I wouldn't call grasping advance top vanilla. Top moves are good and with the immobilize attack, you can move in, then attack and then walk away with your bottom action. excellent control against melee enemies.

100% I caught that when I was rewatching it while editing. I think in the moment it just looked vanilla to me, but when I saw it the second time I thought "move attack top or bottom is always good". So good catch

Yay! My group is deciding to use this in Frosthaven since we ran out of new characters. We never got an official BALANCED release of this and apparently it does work pretty well in Frosthaven. I know the OG print and play was super duper overpowered.

I actually played this in Frosthaven as my 2nd character! I had the official Envelope X physical pack from Cephalofair (which they still sell on their website). The summon build was a lot of fun, I loved controlling my Wasp around & 3 poison upgraded Maggots!

There are official Frosthaven compatible GH character sheets (with masteries!). For this class, I also recommend checking out an user-made, Isaac-approved GH2+FH crossover perk sheet. You can get the 6-arm perk with 3 checks (instead of level 3 card) and it's awesome!

This variation of Bladeswarm was a rework of the OG which was SUPER broken. It’s was tuned to be better in line for use in FH, that’s why it seems weak for Gloomhaven 1e

Don’t forget second edition boys

Also, Focused Scourge used to be two separate cards. THAT was very broken

This is a 2nd version of the bladeswarm. There was an earlier version of the bladeswarm that was a bit more wonky.

Yeah I'm hearing we need to go back further in time and go over the incredibly broken 1st edition? :p

@@amdirt We played with the 1st version on tabletop simulator during the covid days. It has some of the more powerfull effects alot later I think the doing the multiattacks against the same target and the spend elements for +1 damage for the entire action where on different cards. But only accessable at level 5 or 6. I recall a permanent effect that made an adjacent enemy suffer 3 damage at the start of the bladeswarm's turn. And a level 1 card that increased poison damage to +2. And I think the multiattacks were slightly more powerfull But I think the summons didn't get as much support from cards.
