I love the windmills and the clogs are so adorable, especially the tiny ones! Such a fun tour. The mics you all are using are working great for the vlogs!

When our family visited Volendam, my 2 sisters went into one of the shops where you could dress up and get your picture taken. After gettng the photos in the shop, they went outside so dad could get pictures. All sorts of Japanese turistd gathered round to get pictures of the two ’Dutch girls ‘ !

Ducks can be so mean after they have ducklings! When our duck of around 10 years had ducklings I had to give them away because she became mean then she went back to her old self! I loved the whole clogs demonstration! Clogs were in style in the late 70s in the USA and they were pretty comfy!!

That looks like such a fun excursion and I would need another bag to take home too because things there are so unique to us! It’s not like you’re going back tomorrow so… The cheese factory was so cool! It’s beautiful there!!

Not many people know that you can take a regular regional bus to Marken from Amsterdam CS. It's entirely possible to walk all around the island, or out to its lighthouse, the Marken Horse. If you do that you pass the "wharves", tiny raised settlements. Until the causeway was built, Marken regularly flooded. Special to Marken is its specific local attire. On King's Day, many Marken inhabitants wear a special version of this to celebrate the day.

I and my travelling companion visited Cheddar, England, home of Cheddar cheese. Interesting little village. Lots of cheese of different aging, from months to years. It was his birthday and he would bring up this frequently for the decade til his death.

Forgot to mention this tip: If you let the shop vacuum seal your cheese it can last 2 to 3 months as long as you keep it in a cool dark place and don't break the seal (only for hard cheeses).

I swear there are more bikes in Amsterdam than in Beijing!!
@jokevv13 ай бұрын
Beijing has way more bikes than Amsterdam, but it is also a much bigger area, so the density of bikes in Amsterdam is higher.

Looks like a fun day. What was the conversion rate between a dollar and there money?
@SharonatSeaTravel3 ай бұрын
They use the euro and at the moment, it's $1.09 US dollar to 1 Euro, so it's very close to the same.

Fun video about a fun excursion. Just one nitpick: Zaanse Schans, Marken and Volendam are NOT part of Amsterdam.

Great video! I’m flying to Amsterdam next month and trying to find this excursion but the name you mentioned isn’t showing up exactly. Do you have a link to the excursion so I don’t pick the wrong one? Thank you so much!!
@SharonatSeaTravel2 ай бұрын
This tour was booked with Viator and was called Amsterdam Windmill Tour Including Volendam, Marken All-inclusive Tour. That's what it said on our tour ticket. If you can't find it, you can check the link below the video for shore excursions group..they offer very similar tours. It is an affiliate link so using it does support our channel. Thanks for watching and have a great trip!!!
