Hey Taku, we need to have a chat my dude... I've long been a fan of adding some spice to nearly everything I eat, be it a little chili oil, countless hot sauces, Gochujang, onion or garlic chili crisp, even some homemade garam masala. My problem is that I finally went and ordered a jar of the Kelp Chili Crisp about a month ago, that jar lasted barely a week even though I felt like I was rationing it, I put it on everything... Once I noticed that there e was only 1/4th the jar remaining, I started panicking and immediately ordered two more, which I received 17 days ago and just this morning as I realized that jar #3 was nearing empty, so I ordered four (2 x 2-packs) more jars, but I'm currently sitting here with anxiety after Barnacle informed me that the estimated arrival is Wednesday, three days away. The last time I can remember getting this addicted to a food product was over 7 years ago when I discovered genuine hatch chilis, but I could go a few days in between eating those, I haven't managed to go more than half a day before putting the Kelp Chili Crisp on or in something. You've created a monster. I've tried tons of different chili crisps over the years, and while I've enjoyed them, none had this effect on me. What the heck are you guys putting in those jars? Should rename it Krack Chili Crisp. My most sincere request, please, please, please ask Barnacle to offer a 16oz or 32oz jars? I'd gladly pay $35-$40 for 16oz jars, $65-$75 for 32oz. It would be nice to be able to order a jar that would last me a few weeks at a time. I seriously hope you're proud of yourself Taku! Tight lines 🎣

One thing about using salmon carcasses for crab bait. It works well, but the seals like it as much as the crabs and will destroy a pot or trap to get to it. And might even drag it hundreds of yards in the process. Use what ya got, but be aware of the pesky pinnipeds. Great video!

Iv lobster fished for a long time. And one thing that seemed to make a pretty big difference with cathing those is to make sure theres a little bit of room in the bait pocket for the bait to be able to slosh around. If its packed too tightly only the outer surface area gets exposed to water to allow the smell to spread.

Lived in Petersburg for 15 yrs and sport fished /Sumner Straits, the Wrangle Narrows and Frederick Sound for Everything. Most trips were for the Wily Chinook Salmon which used nearly the same setup you had there for the Coho. Throw a Shrimp or Crab pot out on the way to ur fishing grounds and if you got skunked fishing, you always had some Shrimp or Crab. Some Halibut trips you might accidently hook into a Chinook while you were letting line out or winding in. Good Times. the freezer was Always full. The wife ran a smokehouse out of Charleston Ore for a while so smoking Salmon became a habit. Coho was always my favorite.

Aloha. Worked at a remote fishing lodge in South East Alaska for four seasons as a bartender. When the coho bite was on, I would just flatline with a banana lead above the dodger. With manual downriggers, and one net, it was just less chaotic.

Thank You for some more awesome content! Someone is getting a lot better at the up close focus on the cameras too. The comment is for future smoking, if you leave the bark on your alder you are using to smoke, it puts a bitter taste in the fish. Always remove the bark :) Pretty cool smoking method, though
