Ultra X 110 Scotland. A few weeks ago myself and Liga travelled up to Bonnie Scotland for our first big adventure of the year, taking on the fantastic Ultra X 110 Scotland. Two incredible days of running on the stunning trails of Scotland around the mystical Loch Ness! We had a great trip, met lots of lovely people, took in some amazing views and ran a few miles along the way!

Did not go out today because of the thunder and lightning and this wonderful video is making me feel very guilty for missing out. I love the woods, too. I have run the same loop every other day for a month now, simply because it goes through two large woods, filled with bluebells. Magical. God bless the both of you! Thanks for your video. Loyd, my fourth race of ‘24 is in 3 weeks: The 12 Hours of Asaayí in the Chuska Mountains of the great Navajo Nation (New Mexico). A relentless 2.2 mile loop up and down the same rugged mountain. As the defending Masters Champ (at age 60), my training has been (1) trails time on feet here in Colorado with plenty of vert; and (2) weighted core, hip, upper body, arms and especially legs and feet in the gym 3 times per week. As we age, strength-training rivals speedwork but we must imagine that, via immaculate conception, there are more hours each day. Slanté.

Both of you should try the Asics's trabuco max 2, or 3 for this kind of long slow races. Especially if you're taking it easy. The comfort and traveling are sublime! Trust me! ;) As always, great summary of the race. Cheers! ;)

I really wouldn’t have wanted to be in a deep stacked shoe when we were running over the moreland sections! It was really tricky and you wanted lots of ground feel, you could very easily go over on your ankle. Lots of bogs, hidden rocks, and very technical!
