What a well thought out and presented video. I used to work as a tourist guide in Southern Africa for most of my life, but after Covid I became a teacher. This year I am getting an opportunity to travel to Peru and the Amazon to also experience the lungs of mother nature for myself. I have watched countless videos of Peru and the Amazon, and yours is by far the best. Well done. P.s. it also helps that you are Finish and some of my best friends that I have made in my life are all from Finland. Kiitos! You have got yourself a new subscriber.

Wow, thanks for the feedback! Glad you found this useful. Peru and the Amazon are some of the most extraordinary places I've ever been privileged to visit, and wanted to share the journey using these videos from our honeymoon. Feel free to check out the one from Galapagos, it's my personal favourite :) Have a safe trip!

I'm glad you were overnight in the Amazon rainforest, it is always unforgettable. And the fresh food, especially fish and fruits, it's so amazing !!! I wish you would have taken some pictures from Iquitos and especially of the XIXth century mansions built during the Rubber Boom, big beautiful buildings that survived. I love the sunshine, the warm weather, the forest, the river ..... and the people, cool, hospitable and always smiley. So now you returned to the coast of Perú and are heading for the desert (after the jungle!!!) and the Pacific Ocean. I hope you are very much enjoying your visit to our diverse country.

Thanks! Yeah, it's a really diverse country - and going from jungle to the desert was quite a change :)

As was from the high mountains to the jungle!!! As was from the modern capital city by the seaside to the Andes where you are all alone and there is no infrastructure, AT ALL !!!

Another amazing video! Good job guys! I liked hearing Riikka's thoughts too :) Just seeing the photos of the night time spiders and scorpios gave me shivers, so I think Riikka did really well conquering her fears!! The tour operator seemed like a great guy. How nice of you to help him out! Can't wait for your next videos :)

A very great guide, in fact only for adventurers, if you want luxuries you will not find them here, its concept of luxury is very basic, the ideal is to go into the jungle but be careful with allergies, it was a great experience. In my case, I tried to look for any allergies. With many communities and I only found Yakumama tours and Explorama that has jazucci and air conditioning, they are all very basic, in fact 3 days inside the jungle is the maximum!!! And about the little monkeys, it's a shame that on my date when I went alone, they only released a few of us and charged us if we wanted to see more, be careful with that.

Hi did you book the tour in rainforest there in Peru or before you go
@vipepics8 ай бұрын
Hi! We were backpacking in Peru at that point and reached out a couple of weeks earlier to May from Allpayacu Adventures! But on busy seasons recommended to book early 🤟

I will be celebrating my 70th birthday in July and would love to visit Peru & the Amazon. I would love to support Allpayacu but do you think that I am out of the age demographic?
@vipepics Жыл бұрын
Congratz! 💪 I don't think your age is an issue, as long as you can walk and sit in the boat etc. 👍 May and his crew can likely customize the itinerary so that it will be comfortable for you. The lodge is basic, yet everything worked well during our visit. I can recommend reaching out to them.

great videoooooo! In my case my experience was different, for video and instagram purposes that lodge called tree house is very nice and even something luxurious, the problem is at night, since the rooms do not have windows, the only thing that will save you from a tarantula or snake while you sleep It is a mosquito net or mesh which makes you think about it during the night so you don't get to sleep for fear that some animal will get into your room... I use the internet in the jungle in a cabin-type hostel At that time, I was able to get a promo with yakumama tours, according to what I read in other comments, it is the most reliable for hospitalizations and well, it went well, good attention and the good thing is that their rooms are well closed, now you can sleep peacefully, what if An important detail is that due to the geography, the telephone and internet signal does not reach, so if you do teleworking it is not a good option. A detail for travelers is not to book the tours with a swimming pool, it is super dangerous because they usually do not maintain it and there is the problem of the mosquitoes and that amoeba and then if something happens to you they do not give you a guarantee, take it into account travelers to take their own bottled water to avoid upset stomach in the amazon.

@@vipepics thanks a lot... I use sigma 150-600mm... Just been to Borneo and my kit feels heavy. Would like to buy a lighter telephoto lens for my Amazon journey next year. Many thanks for your video... Be safe... x

@@paobriones2177 🤟 I wish that I'd had a better zoom lens when we were in the Amazon rainforest, as the wildlife close-up photos can be very difficult to capture otherwise. But as this was a six-month trip, I had to make some compromises. I carried a 10-18mm, 24-70mm and 70-200mm lenses - my camera bag with everything had a weight of 12-13 kg (+ the other 75l backpack ~20kg)
