I can’t believe that your kids eat salsa, I grew up in Texas and my dad would make salsa with fresh piquin and my dad would say to us that we weren’t true Mexican if we didn’t eat piquin salsa lol, your kids even the youngest one will eat it like nothing, all your kids are absolutely beautiful ❤ my granddaughter has been eating hot sauce since she was 5 years old she’ll just put hot sauce on anything she loves pickle jalapeño, take care and God bless you 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

I am 75 and live in San Antonio. We had tienditas in the neighborhood. Every Wednesday my grandma would send me and my brother to get chicharrones. We would get in line behind the store while they made them fresh. There were no plastic bags so we would get them in brown paper bags. Happy memories. Now we have to drive to find a Molino to get chicharrones.

So interested in the Art of cooking in Pottery... I was afraid of trying because my suegra cautioned me to make sure it didn't contain high levels of lead or aluminum .. I totally admire cooking in it and I will do my best to find out where to buy the best ... I also wonder if you need to treat it a certain way when it's NEW? like with Iron skillets? maybe a breaking in period. does anyone know? I do love your content and hope to see you all one day. Planning time in Mexico now for the Winter season... mostly in Puebla. Best wishes !!!

The fried skin of the pig are called Cracklings in Louisiana. We put them in our cornbread mix and call it crackling cornbread. Of course we just eat the cracklings with red hot sauce.

Erin, gurrrl….please don’t stop…I think it’s so adorable and sweet when you mispronounce Spanish words, please do not pay attention to the people that call you out…you’ve embraced Lalo’s Mexican culture, …you’ve learned to cook Mexican dishes…but they’re trippin’ over mispronunciation?! Erin, when you started saying chicarrones, did you read it off the label or did it come out naturally? Way to go, I know Spanish is a new language and it’ll take years to learn. My husband speaks Tagalog and I’ve learned a few phrases in the last 25 years of marriage. But I do tell my hubby to correct me if I say it wrong, otherwise I’ll never learn how to speak it properly 😅keep practicing, you’re doing well- God bless your family, your house is coming along fast too! ❤🙏🏼
