I could absolutely live in that house. Once you get the countertops sealed, I think you will be pleased with the concrete. The mismatched knobs are perfect.

Jeremiah’s design details flow so beautifully and naturally from your homestead. Ultra modern, urban design and decor details would have deviated from your place and purpose so that you’d wonder if he had lost his mind. When we stay connected-even intuitively-with our source purpose and principles, the details follow and flow. When we get lost in details (with the devil) and disconnected from our big picture, we impose our will over God’s purpose and design. This becomes more evident in politics, religion or medicine (especially lately with Covid restrictions and hysteria), but the same principles hold true with home design. 😉😍✝️

Hi beautiful soul! We are having torrential rain and flood warnings in a rain forest that is used to rain in southeast Alaska. Thank you for sharing your home. I love your “good clean” comment. You got Jessica shelves! Makes room look bigger because your eye can go all the way to the wall. My daughter in law did a sliding barn double door in her kitchen that covers pantry. Much better than cupboards that were there!

I feel you on the icky carpet in the living room!! When we moved closer to my husbands job six years ago, there weren't any houses for sale, and we got to the point where we needed to move in two weeks, and God totally moved, and we found a farmhouse that had just changed hands, and he wanted to rent it out cheap, and we could do anything we wanted to it, so we did what we could before we moved in, changed carpet in master, cleaned whole house and painted the bedrooms, but the night we moved in, we tore out the nasty stinky carpet in the living room, I thought I could wait until the special ordered carpet came in in two weeks, but I just couldn't! I love your hardwood floors though!! What a beautiful surprise! Love the shiplap, open shelves, and concrete countertops!! Ahh! I just love your style! Totally my style too! Can't wait to see what else you do in the coming months before you sell!! I love remodeling houses, it is a huge passion my husband and I have! I love the before and after pictures!

Love your home! Thank you for sharing it with all of us. I’ve been married for over 51 years to my high school sweetheart and for most of our married life, we have something that we’re working on. Did I mention my husband is in construction, very hard working man, but because of that and raising four children, and eight grandchildren, life has always been so busy with little time to finish all the projects, but you know what, it’s home. And I’m so thankful to have a home that the Lord has blessed us with. So slowly but surely, things get done, projects get completed and life goes on. God bless.🌻

Nice & truly eclectic, with great bones so far! You guys must've flipped when you discovered shiplap covering the walls & ceilings, especially after not liking the way it was before! That's so popular now & would be so costly to replicate now, especially, since wood prices have been jacked up so much lately. What fun this project must've been to do with friends too. Re: not liking the concrete counters. I think you're right. It doesn't seem to fit somehow. It feels / looks too thick & heavy. However, if you can remove those counters without damaging them, they'd be great to use to build an outdoor kitchen, like with a grill built in between the 2 smaller shelf areas now used around your stove & sink area. The center slab could continue to be a huge prep & dining area outside, maybe in a logia area, under a roof, but open to the yard. I've seen some great fireplaces built outdoors in outdoor kitchens. Maybe the one you have in the house now could be used in the outdoor seating area next to the outdoor cooking & dining area! That would set you free as to what form of heat, or location to place your heating system, fireplace or woodstove...as a some day concept.. As for the finish on the concrete, you could try a high pressure hose or sandblast the concrete, once it's outside, to see if you can evenly blast off the current surface, & then polish it, stain & seal it. If you don't think you'd like that, why not do it in clay tiles! I'm a new sub since seeing you introduced by Jess. How amazing to get there the day two batches of pigs were born! Hope you're both enjoying watching over their farm & milking goats while they're away. Like you said in the vid on the R&R site I watched earlier today, it must be like walking into a dream.
