I have started watching you guys recently. I really like what you guys are doing. I am actually going to Puerto Morelos with my Father during Memorial Day week (May 27-May31). I have never been outside of the country aside from Canada back in 2008 when I went up to see the Pittsburgh Penguin's vs, Buffalo Sabers Winter Classic match, which was on new years day of 2008, and me and my father got up there on new year's eve and went over to Canada to see Niagara falls. I am from and live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, which is why we wanted to see that game, and I am glad we did. I am really looking forward to seeing Mexico for a week. My father has been there somewhere between 15-20 times I recall him telling me, so yes, needless to say, I am quite excited to see Mexico. Thank you for what you do, keep up the good work. You guys provide fun, yet informative videos, and I appreciate it. Keep up the good work, and keep learning through your experiences and having fun in the process.

Thank you so much for these videos and this channel. I recently visited Playa de Carmen about 3 weeks ago and completely fell in love with Mexico! I found out that my father was Mexican and Puerto Rican about 3 years ago and since then I’ve fallen in love with the culture that runs so deeply in my veins. I agree about the prices of the touristic areas such as playa and Cancun. I realized that the prices were cheaper then the states but still a bit on the pricey side. I found so much value in this video as far as my next place to visit in Mexico and I’m seriously considering moving to my native land. Very, very proud to be Mexican. 🇲🇽 Thank you so much for all of the information that you share about this beautiful land!!!! Loving you guys and watching you daily from NJ. Bendiciones!!!

@@TangerineTravels kzbin.info/www/bejne/ep7ShqSnj82Hd8k Since you will probably go to Chechen Itza at some point you may get a kick out of our honeymoon footage (1990) of the place. (you will need to fast forward to the correct place.) You may notice a few differences. Much smaller crowds, an un-restored area, and people climbing on the buildings and going into the Pyramid. The footage is dated and poor but you can use any or none of it if you want to. There is probably some Tulum footage also.

@@TangerineTravels It used to be this little unknown village that barely anyone knew about. We'd travel down the dirt road from the main highway and it looked more like traveling into the jungle. When you arrived, parking and seating in the restaurants were plentiful. Now, parking there is hard to find. There are a lot more people visiting now. In the old days the tourists were rare and most people were Mexican locals. Now many tourists. The charm is still there. I love the central square and the beach. It's much more expensive now. They've caught on to what we're used to paying for things. As always, it's a charming little town. Definitivamente todos deberían visitar al menos una vez. Me gusta mucho.

Have you guys visited the craft beer brewery located just a little ways passed Puerto Morelos on the federal highway on the way to Playa del Carmen. They have some great beers and a food truck that comes there that serves some tasty treats. If you guys have any questions about the Riviera Maya, or would like to get together for lunch, just let me know. We'd love to meet you guys. Bienvenido a la Riviera Maya! Salud! 💩

Puerto Morelos is our favorite place in the Riviera Maya. We have been 3 times and going back in late July. We taxied off the resort a couple of times and went into the downtown area and walked around at night like it was nothing. Very safe town that seemed very family oriented and quiet. I just hope it doesn't get too touristy anytime soon. We also love Akumal which has the absolute best beach and snorkel but been ruined a bit by the overwhelming amount of tourists that have flooded the city.

We went to a sun glass shop in Cancun in the past but never tried in PM. Also what is a fair price to pay? Also do you have a pharmacy you recommend? We have stocked up on Zpacks and amoxicillin in the past as well but are looking for a location in PM. Thank you so much for y'alls videos. We also love the little quaint town and the super hospitality of the people.

Why do you like that beach? The size? :)
@bringolaselvapoto74186 жыл бұрын
@@TangerineTravels Yes . And the fact I had to walk through the jungle to get there . There were very few people there to start with. It would have been better to get there really early to have had the place to myself. There was another one about 25 minutes walk away too called Playa Caballo . Unfortunately the waves were too big there to even take a dip .

Now that you are close by, are you guys going to spend any additional time in Cozumel?

Just came across your videos about 2 weeks ago and I really love them!! You give really good information on the places you visit. :-) We also love visiting different places in Mexico and the Yucatan Peninsula and QR have been some of our favorites places!! My first visit to Cancun was in 1978 as a teenager with my family and there wasn't really much there at all. Boy, how things have changed in Cancun!! (Unfortunately, that area is way too busy for me these days.) We will return to QR in December and this time visit Mahahual and Bacalar in the south and on our way back to Cancun, we wanted to stop for 3-4 days to chill out somewhere before we head home. I was kinda leaning towards PM before I saw your video, and now you just helped me decide that we are definitely going to add it to our itinerary :P ...Thanks :-)

Hey Yolie! Thanks for checking out our channel. I'm so glad to hear you're enjoying our videos! Your upcoming trip sounds amazing!! Bacalar and Mahahual are still on our list of places we want to visit while we're hanging around the Yucatan Peninsula. Perhaps we'll still be here when you take your trip and we'll cross paths. We hope you love PM as much as we do! It's strangely charming and lovely here :)

1st time watching your channel. I was in Puerto Morelos about 15 years ago, or so, and it was a very small town, compared to what it is now. We ate lunch at a restaurant/bar right next to the beach, and i remember thinking it was such an authentic Mexican town, compared to Playa or Cancun. I might check out what it cost to live there in a few years, when i fully retire :)

Are there affordable (i.e. under $200,000 US) houses on the beach in Puerto Morelos? We tried to look in Playa del Carmen and the agent we contacted said "you need to look on the other side of the Federal." Is that like "the other side of the tracks?" Nice houses in Progreso/Merida for well under $200K. Love your videos! Just found them today. Can't wait to come back to the area in April.

Can Laska go on the beach anywhere there? THinking on heading that way and bringing my dog, who loves the beach...
@TangerineTravels6 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure if dogs are allowed _everywhere_ on the beach, but we have seen dogs on the beach. I also don't think we've seen any "no dogs allowed" signs. It seems like this city and the rentals are very pet-friendly! Another reason we love it here.

When we were in puerto morelos a few years ago there were lots of dogs some of them with owners some strays all over the area I think dogs are welcome anywhere

We haven’t talked about that in a video before, but it’s not something we’re comfortable sharing for security reasons. Sorry about that! We’re pretty transparent with most things, so don’t be afraid to ask other questions if you have them. 🙂

Hello there in Sweden! :) Puerto Morelos is such a cool little city. What brought you here?
@stefanohlsson73196 жыл бұрын
Hello, hello:) i've been to Cancun and Playa Del Carmen before. Now to Puerto Morelos. We love Mexico and plan to take 6 months off in a little over a year from now to live there. If everything works if we might move there after that. We are tired from the cold in Sweden and we love the people in Mexico, their culture and humor. We are also planning to check out Puerto Aventuras. It seems calm and nice. Like your videos. Keep it up!
