Out of every character in the show, he endures the most pain, heartbreak, and emotional challenge and in my opinion Aaron Paul has the best and most convincing performance out of anyone on the show Also Hank should have been higher. I’ve never sympathized with a character in any show more than I did with him, he worked so hard and was so determined throughout the entire journey.

I don't know if people realize that Walt was a very bad guy and whenever Skylar was afraid of him or didn't want to play his games she was in the right. Okay, she fucked Ted, I'm not talking that straight but also look what Walk did to her to lead it all into that direction. Walt had to thank himself by pushing his wife away for the thrills of being a kingpin. Marie is also underrated. She was batshit crazy and fun to watch. She was a complex character as well. The thing I love about Gus is that he's a materialization of one of the core parts of the show which is that characters can fuck up and make the wrong decisions. With Tuco, of course they want to get rid of him, he's unpredictable and could kill them at the drop of a poorly placed input. But with Gus, he can be perfectly reasonable and pleasant to work with if you just don't fuck up. In a lesser show, they'd work with Gus permanently or some external factor would mess it all up.

ludiio Nah i don’t think so. I mean i wouldn’t place him 3rd my self but i wouldn’t argue it too much if someone else did. The main characters of breaking bad are all incredibly well written and they all have a case to be in the top 3. Personally i would chose Walt, Jesse and Gus as my top 3, with hank and mike making my top 5 and saul just missing out. But if you include better call saul then it’s a totally different story. Saul or mike could be top 3.

ludiio Well thats kinda the part of the character. He’s suppose to be the cleaner. The professional with bags of experiences. To put it in other words if mike were walter he’d be at the heisenberg point in season 5. His character development is complete. Everything that has shaped him to be the man he is now has already happened. Now maybe because of that it was harder for you to connect to him but for others it’s what made the character great. Bcs shows mike as the more complex character he really is.

*spoiler alert* Think I would put Jesse as nr1. His development as a character is amazing and he's the good hearted guy fooled to look bad by Mr White. Sure, he makes own bad choices but he never made any of them just because he wanted to matter. Mr White had the sick craving of being praised and seen no matter what. Arguments like "doing it for the family" meant nothing after the second season. He did it all because he liked it. An awesome character indeed and maybe they deserve to share the nr1 spot instead? But if I must pick I would pick Jesse because Mr White robbed him of everything pure in his life.
