I love the Canon EOS R. I use it for street photography with the 50mm 1.8 RF lens and my RF 24-105mm L

Happy to see you are still using the EOS R. I still use it for real estate photography, and find that it’s plenty for that. However looking to pick up the R6 Mark ll when it comes out.

Using 1dx ii and 24 1.4 for most things. Lens is so versatile in small spaces. Still like you guys waiting to upgrade.

Always love to see a new Mango Street video :) As for current go-to gear. I was lucky enough to find the Fujifilm GFX 50R on quite a large sale and have paired that with the GF 50mm f/3.5 (40mm-ish equiv). It's been wonderful & I haven't picked up any other camera since. It feels like a digital GA645. It also fits my slower style of shooting (would be hard to use for weddings for sure). I relate to Rachel's comment about the 50mm focal length in that it doesn't create any drama on its own, but I think that is what I have been loving about the standard focal length recently.

Yeah I paired the 35mm 1.4 L II with my 5DM4 and wow that’s my favourite all time lens. Waiting for a 35mm for the R5

I mainly shoot with a Fuji XT3 w/ a 23mm f/1.4. Awesome combination. Now I’m getting into film and shoot with a Yashica Mat124 and Fuji 400H!

I'm using the Nikon Z6, which is the perfect camera for my type of photography and videography. The 35mm 1.8 is my most used lens, and I agree with you both in that this would be my lens of choice, if I had to choose just one. Besides that I also often use a 14mm and 85mm.

My go to gear: Canon RP - it’s a solid introduction to full frame, with Canon 35mm 1.8 lens and Canon AE-1 reliable film camera, also with a 35mm lens. Clearly I love that focal length, I need to use a camera bag more. I typically don’t use a camera bag

Back in the film days I must have gone thru a dozen XA until they broke. If you buy one, baby it and buy the best looking example. It’s not a throw in the bag camera. But I did use one as a door stop one time.

Gear I hope to get my hands on is 24mm 1.4,35mm1.4and 85mm1.4 gear I have is a Canon 77d and m50 with a24-105 lens and 50mm1.4

Used a pair of Nikon F3 High-Eyepoint (HP) models during my news career from the early 1980s through the early mid-1990s when the staff got digital bodies. Loved them. Be careful of the Auto setting, though. It is VERY heavily center-weighted (80%) which can nail the exposure or be badly off. No multi-segmented/evaluative Matrix metering back then except an early version in the Nikon FA.

I find it funny everytime someone says they use a Mju because I had that camera when I was young and hated it. Gave it to my mum and she hates it too haha. Love all the rest of your gear though. Solid choices. Except for the Mju haha.

The 85mm is for keeps, still have mixed feelings for the 24 & 35mm, but I kind of wonder why you don't use zoom lenses

we use zoom lenses on occasion, but the simplicity, sharpness, and wider aperture usually suit us well. those focal lengths work really well for our style too.

Man, I don’t think I’ve ever seen or heard it called analog video😂, but do love the super 8 love! Northeast Photographic has or had a campaign trying to get super 8 developing/scanning cheaper at $35. Could be a game changer.
