I also think Rolex is underrated. People keep shooting for Daytonas and Pepsis, but if you shoot for a datejust in a configuration you like, they are obtainable. Just try to show interest in as many ADs as possible and the call will come. You cant really beat the value and brand recogntion for about $8-12K that Rolex provides. A lot of people care about the brand that they are spending thousands on more than they like to admit. If you really want a Rolex, just be a patient and get one for those obtainable peices around $10K instead of convicing yourself that Omega or Breitling is the "smart" route.

With all due respect and not trying to be confrontational…nobody who can get his hands on a Rolex is buying a Tudor instead. Tudor is absolutely for the guy who can’t afford the Rolex he wants or can’t source the Rolex he wants. That’s the truth. Getting tired of all the fake Tudor hype out there on KZbin. Rolex owns Tudor. Tudor is a less well refined Rolex Tudor is cheaper than Rolex. Tudor is more available than Rolex. Tudor styles are a complete copy of the more expensive Rolex. Rolex >>> Tudor. Period. Full stop. Get real folks.

@@galaman12001 I understand that, and I have a collection of various watches as well. Often a purchase scratches an itch and it’s nice to have something different in the rotation. However; that isn’t what I am referring to. I am referring to the average person who is looking for a “one watch and done” purchase. Someone who does like watches and wants something nice, and can afford and obtain a Rolex. That person doesn’t look at the Tudor, which is a Rolex sub-brand clone, and say this is a better watch, or overall a better purchase. It’s not. But dozens of KZbin watch channels endlessly push Tudor. It is so prevalent I’m wondering if they aren’t being “incentivized” in a large marketing push by Tudor (Rolex). Cynical, I admit. But Rolex is the OG and Tudor is the cheaper knockoff.

@@Rob02138 I guess that this is true, if you don’t really know anything about watches and you are interested in having one nice watch then the average joe will indeed look into Rolex because it’s the “best of the best”, which of course as watch enthusiasts we know it’s false. Rolex is a master in marketing and the average joe won’t know any better, but as a watch enthusiast, I can’t deny the value that Tudor brings to the table, as a watch fan i absolutely love the Pelagos line, I own a P39 and an FXD and I wear them more than I do any of my Rolex pieces .. then again, I love watches and don’t intend to impress anyone with them, which the average joe that buys a Rolex buys for that reason alone.
