I hope you do the "funny way" in the next video, its called: "The Trapper", because you can only use "landmines" (all types), i'm tried "landmine trapper" perk and i thought it's super fun, but we need to build a good base for that funny perk, make sure you don't kill yourself with that dangerous things, haha😻🤤

You should max: Landmine perk + Demo perk in Perception first, you also need max the Gain XP from Traps in Intellect, so that's work, i'm tried to sharing that funny perk to my friends but nobody want to try it, so i hope you make a video about it and make them like it, ty again! 💣💥

my favorite POI to turn into a base/hoard night is Huenik Farm. If you place the land claim properly, every week you get a bunch of meat from the hogs respawning in the barn :3 and then the building itself is very cozy to live in.

@@pseudoposse Same main fighting position but I ended up moving the approach pole over one so it wasn't against the wall. The other main difference is I rerouted the path on the second floor so the zombies wouldn't land on it when they fell from the fighting position. We had an explosion down there the first horde night that almost took out the floor we were standing on lol. Still have a lot of work to do but you gave me some cool ideas. Great video, thanks!
@pseudoposse
@pseudoposse 18 күн бұрын
@@TBoNAtl Yeah moving the pillar over from the wall will cause less damage against the wall and open up another side for zombies to fall. In the day70 horde, I took out some of that floor below as well so zombies wouldn't land directly on it. i can imagine some demos/cops can take it out pretty quickly lol. Happy to give you some cool ideas, good luck!

One defense trick I use quite a lot is having a "Cube Hollow" ontop of an unpathable block (or just a hole) right at my fighting position between the zombies and my scaffolding ladders. With the Cube Hollow's hole facing upwards, zombies see it as both a pathable block AND an obstacle to destroy (You can do this with many of the railed catwalks too but I find Hollow Cube works best because it has a wall in all 4 directions). Make sure there is something above it to prevent zombies jumping into the hollow cube and they will try to destroy it to get through, but in doing so, they destroy their own path to you! You can then extend your fighting position as wide as you want and when they destroy the closest hollow cube to you, they will look for another path and destroy the next hollow cube, constantly getting distracted while you deal with them. You can easily repair or replace the hollow cubes through your scaffolding ladders and restore any of the broken paths throughout horde night too

That is a very nifty alternative way of dealing with the zombies! Quite diabolical!

Possible ideas for future videos based on questions I have: Ammo types, the desert eagle has penetration, does that improve with AP? What damage do each guns have with each ammo types, and are some of the ammo types just not worth the resources and which are great? Also, converting a POI into a base, if you use a tier 5 POI is the loot after the hoard really better? Does it improve with the same POI base in different biomes? At what point doesn't loot stage matter and you can chill in the forest and still get top level loot? Love your content btw!

@@pseudoposse I did something similar with the main floor with replacing the floor. I went the opposite direction on restoration and I was revitalizing the building look and rebuilding the walls. The interior was mostly empty, but I had added in several support columns as I had completed my base on the roof level. My horde fighting location was on the 4th floor. I had a wall of ladders leading up to that height and then a standard double ballistar rail position with an 0.05 pole for the zeds to run across. Later game a couple of shotgun turrets and double junk turrets. Now I want to start a play and find it again lol. I have a feeling that it was A19 when I built it. I really liked your interior fighting position. Good job!

Watching the evolution of this POI build was amazing. Although I have never used God mode, I still think this could be realistically achievable. I also don't have much experience with the IMMENSE amount of shapes in the shape menu (always daunting for me), but this seems simple enough and works great! Thanks for the inspiration. Also, Taco's settings may need some work.
@pseudoposse
@pseudoposse 18 күн бұрын
God mode definitely made the building faster, but since a lot of it is just repeated, building without cheats would take a bit longer, but not by a whole lot. A lot of the wall upgrades can be made from the existing path. Noted about taco's settings, thanks :)

Can you make a video on the barbwire spools? As they are very confusing on the damage they do. The zombies get blood n stuff on them but they never die. Is it just for slowing them? Can they break? Does it only hurt the heads? What's the deal?
@pseudoposse

I can try to use them somehow but I generally avoid them due to how fragile they are. The barbed wire doesn't do a lot of damage but it does slow zombies down. They have low hitpoints so they can break rather easily.

I've been using Jerry's Fill as a starter for the first couple of weeks until I am ready to venture off to the desert and build a permanent base. It is the Pass-n-Gas with the ranger tower in the back and the broken red building on the side. Repair the fire escape and build a bridge from the red building. I like this building as it is cheap to convert and most starter towns will have one. On the topic of POI conversions, would you happen to know what the Trader Quest that is remarked out is? Where the "#" is for tiers 1,2, or 3. There is also a defense horde group for spawns. It is possible it would be like the night mission where you show up at a certain time and prepare the POI for a mini-horde over the night.

I've also been wondering how people get those external shots during horde nights and such, I'm thinking maybe a second player in the world in free-cam? The structural support colors you can get by pressing f1, entering 'dm' to enable debug mode, then the structural stability view is a toggle option on the new menu that appears when you pause the game on the right side of the screen.

We have an older extra computer that we use for those general camera shots when I record builds solo, and also for when taco plays with me to record both of us. For the stability colors, if you go into debug mode and press escape, you can see some options on the right side. There is a checkbox to show the structural support.

you seem knolegbluble.... a question; does a lagre map means more pois (and therefore more variantes) or does it just mean more emty spaice between towns? awsome vidios, i like taco :) im new here so im gonne ring the bell now :) (ops, i already hit the bell)

More POI’s for sure, definitely more fun imho. Some of the 8k and 10k maps have 10+ traders and crack-a-books. Should find most of the variants and multiple repeats.

As long as you don't lower the number of cities/towns, that is generally true. Taco thanks you!

What happens when you build a horde base in a poi then you happen to have a trader mission there?

If you place your bed there, or a landclaim block, it's SUPPOSED to stop that happening and stops POI blocks from resetting.
