apart from the namestones and white quartz pebbles, it's the first real 'personal' artefact we've had from Lindisfarne :)

The finger with rings, wow. One of the rings was copper and the other was made of bone. I wonder what size they are.

Quartz pebbles are indicative of the sanctuary area of a Celtic chapel. Irish monks would decorate the altar area with quartz. As for the finger, that's part of a person's body and should be treated with respect.
