Am a Kenyan. Living in Western part of Kenya. My dream has been to own a home at the coast. Definitely Watamu has been my priority for a while. It will be the first coastal place i will visit. Longing for that.

Firstly, happy birthday unicorn Malia. Secondly, I'm glad you had an increased budget for all that delicious food. Thirdly, ice cream for breakfast should be an international thing.

Haha yeah ice cream for breakfast should definitely become a thing. Especially on birthdays 😊❤️

illegal rock harvesters have invaded Watamu. They are even quarrying under the new Watamu- Malindi highway, behind Jacaranda Beach Hotel near and probably under the safaricom masts and across access roads. In a few days, they leave unsuspecting people's plots with gaping quarries. They are spoiling the beauty of the place.

That's very sad. I hope something is done about this! I'm replying to only one of your comments as I don't think it's necessary for you to spam my comments with the same thing on every video. Thank you for mentioning it, but please don't comment the same thing on every video 🙏

We have done that before. This was about our favourite places to visit in Watamu, not the beaches 🙂

Currently we homeschool Malia. It's not easy, but it suits our lifestyle and travel and she learns so much from visiting different places around the world that we know she's fine. We don't follow an online course Currently. We know the basic things she should be able to do at her age so we make sure we cover those things and then the rest is all fun learning 😊

Thanks so much for sharing. Planning to do Kenya with my 6 year old son next month and Watamu is on our list. Are there any homeschool hubs there, as we homeschool? Or any activities that happen during the day for homeschooled kids? Thanks so much

Thanks for the comment. Unfortunately right now there is only really pre-school level, so we actually bring a teacher in for Malia and 2 of her friends each day for half a day.

What do you think about the cost of living there compared to other countries?
@WhereNextFamily11 ай бұрын
It really depends on how you want to live. If you shop local and cook simple foods then it's very affordable, however if you want international foods then be prepared to pay a lot for them. Rent is again dependent on what kind of place you want to live, but typical rent for a foreigner can be anywhere from $500 for a small, simple place to $3000+ for a big family pool villa...
