Discovered Tamu when they first opened and have loved it ever since. The service is top notch. Sometimes you go to places and you don’t feel very welcomed but this is never the case at Tamu. Great recommendation. Totally agree about the new “Amici”such a shame as I used to remote work from there and enjoy the coffee and pastries. And their ice cream was also decent. Welcome back to Kenya. 🇰🇪

Yes we used to love taking Malia to Amici Miei but the vibe is totally different now. Glad you also agree that Tamu is awesome 👌 🙌

Any thoughts for a first time trip on staying closer to town and traveling out to kobe / lichthaus for day hangs vs doing the reverse?
@WhereNextFamily5 ай бұрын
The distance between the center of Watamu and Kobe/Lichthaus is only about 5km or 300 shillings on a boda boda, so I wouldn't worry too much about where you stay. Watamu has lots of beaches to choose from so if you want to be closer to the hustle and bustle, then staying in town is a good option

Coffee at the beach, can it get any better?
