Even on gasoline: Everytime you put your car into storage, make sure the engine is nice and hot (drive > 10 km) before you park it. Once in storage: Never start the cold engine for just a short period, shut it off and store it for a long time afterwards. Even without E85 the condensation happening will damage your engine.

It is possible maybe to relase stuck valve. Put the spark plug in, clock the engine in the way that is possible to fill combostion camber whith stuff from intake port. Mix the kerosene and a strong thinner 50/50 and plus 15% thin engine oil. Fill it up from intake port to be sure its in fluid walves leg. Check to not leak out to piston rings in crank case. Block intake hole whit some robber glove whith filling to close the hole. Thath staff is evaporates fast. Can do the trick.... Love your work..

@BustedGeezerGarage4 жыл бұрын
You most likely already do it but we were required, back in the day of flex-fuel introduction at Ford, to use full synthetic oil for flex-fuel cars. Engineering reported that the alcohol washed regular oil off the cylinder walls causing cylinder scaring and piston damage. Not surprising to hear it causes valve train damage as well.

People ask me why I bother still running duel fuel and this is why. Ethanol can kill a motor if they don't get warm enough to get rid of the moisture and it's tough on injectors too. I stopped having problems with my Typhoon after I added a second small tank for gas. It's not hard to do and before I put the thing away I just flip a switch and use gas for the last few miles.

It's funny. When you guys work on these old Aussie Ford and Chevy's I see body lines and chrome pieces that look like 3 or 4 different American cars. But none of the whole cars look exactly like any 1 model of American. Who else sees a Galaxy 500 in those headlight bezels?
@ibast14 жыл бұрын
Yeah Australian Fairlanes were build off the "Canadian" Falcon base but had styling influences from American Fairlanes and Galaxies. The Galaxie would have been too big for the Australian market. Our family car (Falcon and Fairmont) was what you guys called a compact. These early Australian Fairlanes were a luxury compact with a longer bonnet and boot (trunk).
