Found your channel because I was wanting to “go back to romania” so I looked up vlogs. Went there in may for the international Shakespeare festival in Craiova and afterwards spent some time in Bucharest and it was just amazing and I fell in love with the country. Craiova is amazing! Cities like Brasov, Sibiu, Cluj-Napoca, Sighisoara, Alba-Iulia, Oradea, Timisoara, Arad, Oradea, Iasi, Baia-Mare, Craiova, Constanta are a must to visit! You have to see Castles like Peles,Corvins Castle, Cantacuzino, Bran (known as Dracula s Castle), Sturdza or The Culture Palace from Iasi, Citadels like Alba-Carolina, Rupea, Poenari, The seat Fortress of Suceava, The fortress of Deva, Oradea Fortress, Medieval fortess of Targu Mures etc, beautiful road with incredible views like Transfagarasan, Transalpina, Transbucegi or Transpuseana, Salt mines transformed in places where you can stay all day like Salina Turda, Salina Slanic Prahova, The Salt mine of Praid, etc, Danube Delta and Black Sea Coast, The Carpathian Mountains etc, Maramures county where you will find the best food from Romania etc. You will find a lot of things to visit, to bad that you missed a lot of things in Bucharest like Therme Bucharest, a lot of parks that you have to see, the interior of the Parliament or the interior of the Romanian Atheneum, The former Ceausescu Residence, George Enescu Museum etc. Mb. next time 😅❤ Btw, at 0:55 your boy is already speaking the romanian language, he said mom in romanian "mama" 😂

Happy birthday! You asked what the paintings at the entrance represent. Under the peristyle there are five mosaic medallions representing five great rulers of the country: Neagoe Basarab, Alexandru the Good, Carol I of Romania, Vasile Lupu and Matei Basarab. The ruler was called Domn, but he was practically a king , crowned and anointed by the metropolitan leader of the Orthodox church. Inside: a 75-by-3-metre (246.1 by 9.8 ft) fresco by Costin Petrescu decorates the inside of the circular wall of the concert hall. Painted using the al fresco technique, the piece depicts the most important moments of Romanian history, starting with the conquest of Dacia by Roman emperor Trajan in 106 a.d. and ending with the realization of Greater Romania in 1918. In front of the building there is a small park and a statue of the greatest Romanian poet: Mihai Eminescu.

Cool, but, the best part of Romania is further up North, the entire Transylvania, you have castles, medieval cities, awesome scenary. Next time if you come back, I suggest visiting Transylvania, From Brasov to Cluj, Oradea to Timisoara and the fariest counties in Romania, Maramures and Suceava (which is in Moldova region of Romania, but we don't say it out loud) if you want!

Next for you if you would like to come back: Delta Dunarii Black Sea side, Brașov and Poiana Brasov(watch out for bears), Iasi, Cluj-Napoca, Salina Turda, Timișoara(first electric illuminated city in Europe), Sibiu, Transfagarasan and Transalpina and Bicaz dam, Maramures countryside living and your King Charles the III rd called Viscari village( you can sleep in his house) and Bran castle and many more that don't come to mind now. When you'll return to Romania, I strongly suggest that you revisit the National Art Museum in Bucharest, There is a day in the week (not sure which off the top of my head now, but the site will let you guys know and what is needed) where the historical areas can be visited. During the period of the Kingdom, the museum was the Royal Palace. in the historical areas the Throne Room can be visited (which is gorgeous) and what was left of the Throne after the communists tried to destroy it (succeeding in part; the Throne has a very interesting story). On the same "royal rush", I suggest you go to the National Museum of History, the Crowns can bee seen as well, 3 of them. - The Crown of the King is, as far as I know, the only steel Crown in the modern era, it's not gold or jewels for a very good and specific reason. - The Crown of our first Queen in the modern era, Her Majesty Queen Elisabeth, is similar to the Crown of the King. but in gold - The Crown of Her Majesty Queen Marie (initially Princess of Edenborough) is made of gold and jewel in Byzantine style, at the request of Her Majesty Lastly, you must see Peleș and Pelișor Castles, in Sinaia. Peleș Castle is the Seat of the Romanian Royal Family and has been returned to them, but by order of our last King, His Majesty King Michael, it will forever remain open to the Romanian public and to any visitors. Pelișor Castle was made for the Crown Heirs. Both are gorgeous and well worth a visit! Sadly I could not write a comment to present everything, it would be huge and more than what YT would allow XD Although I would love to... but I highly encourage you to look into the Kingdom of Romania. The stories (which are actually historical facts) are gripping and it represent the most prosperous and decent period of the country. The story of Their Majesties Kings Carol I Ferdinand and Michael are, movie material as is the stories of Their Majesties Queens Marie and Hellene.

Hey you should next go to Brasov, visit the city, it is a wonderful mountain city and maybe check into Club Vila Bran since you have the kid, you will get mountain view jacuzzi, horse rides for the kid, traditional restaurant which is wonderful, and a few more activities for the kid - look it up! Just rent a car in Bucharest and keep in mind you will be driving on the right side of the road

As a romanian who live in UK, I only can tell you that. Next time when u're going back in Romania, try to go into Transfagarasan area. Transilvania ... Google about Castel Bran, and Vlad Dracula's story. You should try something country side

Like the year before, I wish I would be in Bucharest for Christmas with my people; unfortunately, this time around someone has to deliver on promises for Canadian taxpayers. Still, you guys, as a beautiful family made the "dor de casa" be more barrable:) As an option for next time, just mingle with folklore-countryside people, get to know the real country; it's going to be way more enrichment for much less, especially for the young one experiencing untamed nature, good nutrition and the exposure to the unknown. Disclaimer: it proved to be contagious for the foreigners before you; thus, they settle with us. One option, follow your fella Charles Philip Arthur George and try to understand why he is in love with Viscri, Brasov. On the other hand, as a historical curiosity, Princess Marie Alexandra Victoria of Edinburgh, aka "Regina Maria" was the bravest Romanian patriot ever; it was She, that through marvelous diplomacy singlehandedly the "Romania Mare" achievement. To this day she is considered way-way more than a Queen; especially with her choice of being a field nurse during WW1.
