Ok, 6 minutes in and I had to pause to say, omg!! A little over 14 and a half years ago, when I was pregnant with my daughter, I had to have rhe gestational diabetes tests too and I was miserable after drinking the extra sweet drink!! I nearly fell asleep in the waiting area during my wait for my blood sugar test. I got so sleepy from the sugar overload that I could barely keep my eyes open!! I have a major sweet tooth, always have, but that much sugar at once was a horrible feeling!! 🤢

Gordo was DEFFO simping for Lizzie during the whole series. Super unrequited love going on while she fawned over Ethan. There was a point when she realised Ethan wasn’t worth it tho if I remember. And it was 2 seasons but each season was 30 episodes so there was plenty of ground to cover :)

He does make a good point, because Hollywood is notorious for not only not casting native speakers of a certain language (or at least people who learned said language), but also going heavy on stereotypes, instead of doing research. And it is relevant, because why bother setting the story in Rome, Italy, with Italian characters, if they're gonna do a poor job at it?

I understand that she was in a committed relationship at the time, but it’s absurd to think that a connection that is totally out of anyone’s control should be denied. (If they did in-fact feel a connection). It would be inappropriate & totally out of character for her to have acted on any potential feelings, while being married but admitting to having potential feelings would be totally normal.

I like to get in front of minivans because I am a short person who drives a small car, and I have a hard time seeing around minivans. One of my pet peeves that I see all the time (as a driver and a pedestrian) is when a driver slows or stops for a pedestrian crossing the street (or whatever reason) and then another driver either behind the person slowing or in the next lane over, aggressively speeds past them creating a hazard. (Thank goodness I haven't seen anyone hurt yet.) I just want everyone to realize basically no one slows down or stops for no reason, so maybe be cautious when passing them to figure out why they might be slowing down or stopping.

Speaking of bad accents, being Dutch, I’m always blown away by how off the portrayal is when it comes to Dutch people in shows or movies. They always make the accent sound more like german, or like an Eastern bloc person. I’m reminded of that Friends episode when Joey was dating a “Dutch” chick, she didn’t look Dutch in the slightest, she sounded almost Russian, and she “didn’t speak a word of English” and was rather submissive and waiting around for Joey….I mean, if you know ANYTHING about the Dutch, you’d know that would never happen😂 I don’t find it offensive, it’s kinda funny, but a bit of a pet peeve all the same.

I've noticed this aggressiveness too when I was learning to drive. Here in Switzerland you have to put a magnet or sticker of a white "L" with a blue background onto the car while someone learning to drive is driving. I think the reason Isabella let Lizzie preform was because she had rehearsed with Paolo and it was her dream. As a kid, I thought going to Denny's was amazing but going to Red lobster was like fine dining. I thought it was so fancy that i asked my parents to take me for my 15th birthday dinner. I remember watching the Lizzie Maguire series, but I think my little sister was the fan, but i did loved the movie. And... I too was 16 in 2003 when the movie came out. So, i wasn't the same age and I didn't care. My sister is 7 years younger and we both loved watching this movie (and the series). We must've sang the songs from this movie all the time.

I never thought I watched the Lizzie McGuire movie (I've probably seen fewer movies than Colleen) but hearing them describe the movie I remember watching it as a camp counselor at a Spanish immersion camp (I don't speak Spanish) and I just remember it being this weird sort of fever dream, so I think I agree with Erik mostly entirely
