Our First Look at Mad Man's Monsters! - Master Architect on Asylum - Gears 5 Horde 8-17-2021

Ok so I know I'm a tad late to this event, and a tad early before Halloween, but I gotta experience what I missed when I was on my hiatus lol. So here we are!
From first impressions, this mode is pretty easy in comparison to most. Bosses are guaranteed to be the matriarchs at the end and flocks in the middle, and it's all Swarm. Basically the spiritual successor to Monster Mash in Gears of War 4. Which, with that in mind, I do really enjoy this! Mainly because it's a great map to be a sniping class on.
Given, I think Chickens learned that it can be brutal for up close and personal classes if the chainsaws are after you xD
All the while, I figured I'd experiment with how Stim capacity does on Architect. I didn't exactly notice it all that much, but I did notice my lack of repair speed, so I imagine if I'm the primary Engi I won't need to worry much about how much stim I'm getting, but rather that I just have it. Still saves your butt either way!

Nomad+ architect is a low key pretty decent combo cause all the enemies affected by fear are running away which allows architect to get lots of deception damage

That IS a good idea that I should try taking advantage of more! Heck you could probably do a whole flanking build with the Nomad, Blademaster, Veteran, Architect and then...something else

@@CherryQuenchGearsofWar yeah you definitely could, I forgot veteran had that on the flank card, and maybe just add like an anchor or marksman for some dps as the 5th class

To me architect is like a second jack just repair but at the same time it's has a free decoy

It's all about using the hologram ult, keeping that ult up as long as you can, shooting enemies in the back, and then just being a normal ol' engineer with the discount lol It's really fun once you get the hang of it!

@@garrywatkins2358 Nah you 100% good. I honestly didnt know they had chainsaws early on. I got hit once where they skipped a barricade and another time being overly greedy and careless trying to get my ult back up. 1 other time was just getting too close to them. On master/incon they move so much faster then other difficulties. Occasionally i forget.
