They have to guess the song behind the bricks and for each brick that's not red they can perform a song with any of the words present from the already shown bricks. This was Håkan Hemlin's breakthrough song way back with his colleague in Nordman. The instrument is a traditional Swedish instrument called "nyckelharpa", keyed fiddle in english.

Fun fact, the guy playing the "nyckelharpa" (key harp), Mats Wester, who's the other part in the band Nordman, has actually started building them himself. Wester is a so-called "riksspelman", which can be translated to something like " "National Folk Musician", it's an honorary title. If you ever watch Norway's winning entry of Eurovision Secret Garden with "Nocturne", you will see another Swedish "riksspelman" Åsa Jinder, playing the keyharp.

I loved this song when it came out… oh 30 years ago. I like music that combine folk music or older music with more modern vibes. Håkan has a very raspy and recognizable voice. It stands out. I like that too.

Nordman has been competing in the Swedish Melodifestivalen a couple of times. Really good songs that have become very popular. Recommend you to listen to those.

In the TV-show there are words as you see and they are a part of the song. So either you gonna find the right song, or sing a song on the word you turned up. He choosed to sing his own song and after that they take another number if you get a red one it goes over to the other team, and they guess and the first team to find right song gets a point. As all the Red words was taken here, they choosed to sing his song because they will still get the point later.

This particular part of the program they get to choose 1-5 and theres a hidden word behind it, and the teams takes turn choosing what word they wanna see and if you get all the words its a part from a song. If you cant guess the song you can still get 1 point if you manage to sing another song that contains the word you just unlocked on the screen.

Nordman is a dou of two people Hålan Hemlin (song) and Mats Wester (Nyckelharpa). Nyckelharpa (Key harp) is a traditional Swedish instrument from the 1500s. The sound of a Nyckelharpa, paired with a violin, is very recognizable in Swedish Folk musik. A bit of backstory about Håkan Hemlin and this song. During the 90 early 00s he struggled with narcotics so for many people back in the day that had the same problems this became "their song" because it's a story about getting out of addiction. The wanderer (you) that lives on air and water is an "addict". Homeless and alone. But far away there is a warm farm (a way out of addiction), but you have to walk to that farm even if it's hard and you are alone. If you don't, death will come for you. (Klockan ringer för en ensam själ - The bell rings for a lonely soul (klockan ringer/klämtar för dig - the bell rings for you is a swedish way of saying "You are going to die") (Du får ta en dag i taget - Take it one day at the time) . But the wanderer will have no place to go if he walks by the last beat (Vandraren har ingenstans att gå, om han går vid sista slaget) (If the bell of death rings for the last time you are lost/if you are too late/if you don't walk to that farm/seek help, you will die)

Must recomand to do this song again but the music video! Nordman is a duo and the other member plays Key Harp that really brings out the medieval Scandinavian tones! This version is, in swedish ears, pretty Flat 🙈 This song came out 30 years ago in 2024 so this is a classic!!

The instrument you were wondering about is called a nyckelharpa, it's an old swedish instrument that resembles a violin but it uses keys to push down on specific notes and has sympathetic strings that are placed below the strings that are being played so that they resonate in harmony with each other for a much more richer and fuller sound than the regular violin could create on its own (as far as I can remember at least). Håkan has a quite generic Stockholm accent, which is a bit funny since he's from Gävle (Check out Thomas Dileva for a more typical Gävle accent). I HATED Nordman when this came, but now I can kind of accept them, tens of other bands that are better IMO, but it's not that bad. The instrument is called "nyckelharpa" and is kind of a mix between a Violin and a Piano. Check out Åsa Jinder for more of that
