@@DerekMoore82 we make a little bit of cash every few months off of monetization right now, but it really is just extra gas money and nothing more. patreon memberships is really what we're trying to build up... folks can support the development of the channel on patreon and get special perks such as early access in return. right now we only have a handful of patrons, but we're hoping to grow that as our audience grows.

No spoilers... I'm just going to say it... If you have a hard time with this episode, you will seriously struggle with what comes in the next 4 seasons. The "moral dilemma," violence, and overall dark tones to the show are going to 10. This episode was probably a 5. The entire show changes just like every character in it, because the theme is chemistry after all. The humor slips out of the story, and the nail biting and shock drama gets more and more intense. You just got on the rollercoaster, and you're still heading up that first hill.

I don't think that when Walt looked into the trash can he immediately noticed that something didn't look right. It was probably only then that he realized that Krazy 8 could theoretically have taken a piece of the plate. No more and no less.

That’s actually true of the hydrofluoric acid itself: according to Mythbusters, they would have needed WAY more to dissolve a human body than just the two gallon jugs they show Walt stealing from the school lab.

I don't see these episodes as asking the viewer what they'd do in a moral dilemma like this but rather showing us how opposed to taking a human life Walt is and how he wants to see the good even in a drug dealer that just two episodes ago tried to kill Walt.

The way you see these first three episodes as "one trilogy in itself" may fit somehow. I had the same thought about it. But in the end it's obviously just the little intro song. The cat's in the bag... and the bag's in the river... and now you're floating down that river. Not talking too much during the show, paying attention to what exactly happens and discuss it afterwards is a good strategy imo. This show has so many layers, which are often only presented in little details, one simple sentence, a picture on the wall in the background...

we're doing our best. because every episode takes a bit of time to complete, we're already somewhat maxed out doing one per week because this is not our actual job right now. but as we earn more, we can put that money back into the channel and hire an editor. patreon really helps with this process at the moment.

I'm really gonna enjoy watching this with you guys. Kailyn explores the subtext and Eric picks at the storytelling threads as they begin to show themselves - makes it very interesting for those of us who've seen it, and maybe just wanna see it again with others' fresh eyes. There aren't enough reactors who do more than scream at the explosions and laugh at the one-liners, so it's really appreciated when you can find it. Don't let some of the nasty bits (Emilio cleanup, etc) set you off, it's worth the whole journey.

Another awesome reaction, Eric & Kailyn. Just a heads up that SE1 of Breaking Bad was wrapping up filming in 2007, which was when the first Writers Guild of America strike occurred. The freshman season originally consisted of nine episodes, but was cut down to seven due to the WGA strike so the finale was actually the third to last episode of the season.

LOL This happened back in the mid 90's. My former neighbor used to cook meth. Only reason I knew this was because I could smell it in my backyard everytime he cooked a batch. Neiher I or the other neighbor who was a friend of mine, ever narced on him. It just wasn't worth getting killed over. Other than the meth situation he was actually a pretty friendly guy. I learned through the years that I would rather not know what the neighbors have going on or what they are up to. I mind my business and they mind theirs.

I personally have another show I consider the GOAT, though it takes place in the same universe as this one, hint hint. Breaking Bad is my #2 and the same universe show is my #1. I really appreciate that you immediately recoil at the demeaning statements that come from Hank. For me, he's one of the most repulsive characters on a series. But it's really rare to hear someone call him out on it. I thank you. Coz what comes out the mouth, is what's in the heart. Says alot about a person. And he's just crass.

The first few seasons are totally awesome. It doesn’t get dark for me until the last season or so. Please stick with it. I can’t watch these late at night though!😂
