I dunno if I'd sell the RV...it would make a good lodging for guests since your mobile is a 2br. home. Maybe put another carport cover over it to protect the top and you've got room for 4? to sleep. Or, a getaway space for peace-n-quiet time. Mom/Dad cave?!!

Glad to see you had that inspection, by feline inspection services. I ended up buying a trencher (6.5 foot deep trench) that had a backhoe on it to do my house. Power, water, septic then sold it 2 years later for what I paid for it. A little extreme but it worked out well as I did a lot of trenching. Well done on the electric btw.

Using the ditch witch sure made short work of the trenching. I hope the electrical supply store sold you the correct wire size to compensate for voltage drop at 120/ 240 for Your intended load.

I watched y’all’s travails with the waterline from the road as you dug through the clay and rocks. That top foot or so of soil, though, is really nice ground. If y’all ever have a chance to plant a garden, it should do well.

@@internetuser691 About 25' +/- of water line for livestock. Half is dug, but then the weather got bad. I'm an old woman, it takes me longer to get that kind of job done. Also contemplating trenching for electrical line to the barn.

@@internetuser691 Wow! You have a lot of good info! Unfortunately, I do not own a tractor, yet. My "heavy" equipment at this point consists of my 2 hands and 2 feet, and whatever hand tools I own. Not ideal, but it's what I have. Yes, water here is by rain catchment. What you see on my "Fixing A Crisis" video was the system for the goat barn. That only stores up to 110 gallons, and yes, I access that with a short hose to fill a bucket with. Not the best system for below freezing temps, but it's a low percentage for those type of temps in this area. The system I want to burry a line for is at my main barn. I have a 550 gallon storage tank that overflows into a 225 gallon IBC tote. The 550 gallon tank gravity feeds to a livestock tank on a float valve downhill. The top of the livestock tank is below the bottom of the storage tank. The reason I want to burry the line is to reduce the likely hood of the line freezing. I only have half the line burried, and not deep enough. Getting a trencher to where I want to trench can be tricky because of the hills here. And, renting equipment is a problem because I am on a fixed income. Serious planning and assessment needs to be done for that large of an investment. But thank you for your suggestions. They were very informative!
