A couple of ideas from a 70 year old guy that worked very well for me. I also grew up poor like you guys.First, stay out of credit card debt. Today I have a credit card that actually pays me to use it. I use it to pay my bills and I pay it off monthly carrying no balance. So I make money on it but most people don't do that.Start saving now on a regular monthly basis for a retirement fund no matter how small amount now you start with. But just contribute to it faithfully. When I bought my house, I always made one extra mortgage payment every year. Of a 25 year mortgage, I was able to knock it off in only 18 years. A huge savings over the term of the mortgage. Buying a new car. Actually buying or leasing a fancy new car is a loosing investment. Drive a brand new car around the block and you already lost yourself a couple of hundred dollars. I'm glad I did it because now I live comfortable while I see so many of my friends struggling these days.

My first home i had a mortage ,i felt i wanted no mortage or rent payments, so i brought a manufactured home in cash. worked in a job where i could have a pension and contributed to Social Security, while raising 3 children. later on i had another pension which i cashed out to buy a car cash. No debts, no credit cards . Living my best life retired!

The money is about attracting sponsors and not so much KZbin, direct. The more people get to see an add, the more likely their subconscious kicks in and they buy the stuff......It is how advertising works.....I see potential for them to make money from advertisers. They are a cute couple who can influence many people in a positive way.

Sainsburys lol, I've been in construction my entire life, for 20 years I ran my own business doing builds up to £500k for my clients, long story short, I then nearly died so decided to take an easier approach and joined Sainsburys. Thought that I could retire there. Enter Jumped up 23 year old manager who believed he was better than everyone else, who continued to screw up, yes during the Pandemic! I asked him if he was a double ewe anker and got sacked for the very first time in my working career. Sainsbury's, great place to work Loving the vids keep up the good work

I will be so proud of you and you will be proud of yourselves! My suggestion is to continue to mix in some fun (tags) and visual (nature?) vlogs with your law, medicine and finance vlogs. You will have me for the duration, please believe! I love you, am retired and KZbin is a great source of entertainment for me! Thank you!

The bit about not being taught anything about money is spot on. At least you started thinking about it early. I was way old when I read an article defining the difference between income and wealth production. But I'm way older now. In my time you got a job, one job and that was the income from which you aspired to become "comfortable". I realise it's a very narrow and prescribed view and probably one from my generation. Lately I have been watching young people making videos on KZbin and was SHOCKED one day when one of them said they had gone fulltime!!! How can that be a job I thought! So I promptly stopped watching them. But lately I have watched a couple of your vids and I'm still thinking how can that be a job! But they do say when your kids grow up and get jobs they will be jobs that don't exist now. Good luck. Have fun. PS I love red hair.

I watch quite a lot of KZbin stuff but it got to the point that there were so many ads it would seem to take ages to watch something. There would be 1 right at the start, another 5 mins in and so on. I got so brassed off that one day i Googled how to stop them, installed and now i'm a ad free zone. Makes watching so much more pleasurable. Does this effect your income, people putting ad blockers on??

Oh WOW. I still get super amazed at how little people actually know about cryptocurrency and blockchain tech. I hope Naomi didn't mean "Bitcoin is a Scam" , because that would be very ignorant for someone who's working towards financial freedom. If you were scammed by a 3rd party, that I can understand. By All means, Please Do the Bitcoin Story. I would really love to hear it. If You Should Learn anything this decade, let it be this; EVERYTHING THE INTERNET TOUCHES, IT CHANGES. We are witnessing something historic happen right before our eyes. Sadly, at this point, few in the world are even aware of it.Technology has the amazing ability to drive the costs of things down. Nowhere is this more evident than the development of the Internet. We see many instances where, because of the Internet, the cost of products or services plummeted. The most common example is Amazon. The retail giant minted money over the past decade simply because they do not have the overhead that physical retailers have. By offering products online, this lowers their costs since their physical expenditures are for warehouse space. This is a lot less expensive than large stores or prime retail space in major cities. That is not the only evidence we see. Look at what happened to music. Back a few decades, music cost $10-$15 in the U.S. for a cassette or CD which contained 7-10 songs. Today, we have freemium services like Pandora which provide 40M songs if one will listen to commercials. If not, for the price of one CD, one gets commercial-free music in virtually unlimited quantity. We saw the same thing happen with video. KZbin (and now D.tube) is giving people free content to watch. Add in Netflix which charges about the cost of a CD, and someone can watch 168 hours worth of programming a week. We can binge watch our lives away. Finally, the communications world was also turned upside down. There was a time where calling outside the local area cost money. Now, with the online applications, that cost went away. Thus, we learn a couple things about the Internet: A) It creates abundance in whatever area it enters B) It demonetizes that same area. Now for the fun part: the Internet has come to money. Hence, we are witnessing the demonetization of money. The paradigm is shifting from the scarce to abundant.... I don't know where this is going, but I am very alert. The concept of digital money may take sometime for the average human to understand, but so was the case with the concept of the internet. And here we are decades later, we can't do without it. The existing institutions are going to put up a fight just like the long distance phone companies, record labels, and newspapers. They all fought the good fight only to succumb to the two tenets of the Internet. Naturally, for those of us who looked at it, we realized that the fiat world(normal currency) has no value either. Essentially, money is only as good as the trust people have in it. When people believe something has value and is worth utilizing, then it is. If said trust is broken, as in Venezuela, fiat becomes worthless. OKAY, I Will Stop There cause I could go on and on... Happy New Year N&J XO :)
