My guilty pleasure is playing the same games over and over again. Even though I know the whole story, even though I have already completed all quests and picked all the different possible paths. It's the comforting familiarity of them, the joyful nostalgia. Do not underestimate my ability to happily play Dragon age origins for the 325th time

I do that constantly. I still haven't finished all the games I got for Xmas, but I'm going to take a break soon to play the Mass Effect trilogy, starting from scratch. It seems to happen, like clock work, every 3 months, for the past several yrs. So when March starts, I'll be starting again. As for ME:A, that's debatable, maybe, maybe not, cause I want to finish my new games, then go back to Witcher 3 sometime this yr.

XD And I find this just after I post a comment on it. Minecraft. I’m on a server based on Harry Potter. While it’s a bunch of real people on there, it’s open world, has a spell system, you can brew potions, there’s some battle. It’s NEARLY ideal. Nearly.

@brendanward12706 жыл бұрын
NathanM4A1 the actual sport is just dumb. 90% of the time no one but the Seeker matters, the others are just playing around while they wait for the Snitch to be caught. That’s only one example though, the rules are just not good. It’s a really bad game of flying soccer.
@NathanM4A16 жыл бұрын
Darman Skirata You clearly never payed attention to the movies or read the books, nor were you any good at Quidditch World Cup. Firstly, the snitch is incredibly hard to see and the amount of time it takes to spot it and then catch it can vary wildly. I don't have my Quidditch book to hand but I remember it saying that the shortest time its taken to catch the snitch was a few seconds, where the longest was weeks, and the teams had to substitute players so they could sleep. As the game doesn't end until the snitch is caught, the game time isn't set in stone. If the game goes for long enough, or even if its a short match but one of the teams is really strong, the chasers can easily score more than 150 points. In Quidditch World Cup its entirely possible if you're good to get develop a 150 point deficit so that even if the other team catches the snitch, you still win. Its like flying soccer, but with a large bonus if for an extra method of scoring. If the teams are equal, and its not a very high scoring game, then yes whoever gets the snitch will win. But that isn't always the case. Even at Hogwarts there were cases of a team winning by quaffle points alone, let alone among professional teams. And your "no one but the seeker matters" statement falls flat when a beater takes out a keeper (allowing chasers to score with impunity), or a seeker (guaranteeing the win for the other team unless the chasers are good). While the seeker is the most important role without a doubt, to say the others only matter 10% of the time is insane. If the rest of your team is good, they can be just as important as the seeker.

Man, you're so right. A current gen Quidditch game with the graphics and immersive effects you could design into the game now would make it absolutely amazing. You could have weather effects that could make it harder to ride your broom (like playing in high winds during a rain storm), program interesting broom defensive and offensive controls in the game to ward off bludgers and other players during the match, and the ability to do custom team plays to surprise opponents. I have so many fond memories of Quidditch World Cup from childhood. The other Potter games usually had cool Quidditch sections but you only got to play a match or two for each game and that was it. World Cup let you play as all the Hogwarts Seekers and seekers (who were mostly characters you actually knew from the books and films), and then let you play as all the World's seekers with a scope that blew my mind at the time. I remember dominating the World Cup with Bulgaria many a time as a kid, simply because I knew that I'd get to play as Viktor Krum when it came time to get the snitch!

I loved the quidditch mini game in the chamber of secrets. It was really fun and I used to play it loads. You had to battle the opposing teams seeker to catch the snitch first. The final game of the year was particularly fun, since the opposing teams seeker is Draco and the quest for the snitch was changed up a bit with this portion where you and Draco chase the snitch to under the stands. Really fun times. ☺️

Good on you, Dan. I really like AC3 too.

My Guilty pleasures are Tomb Raider. Especially the very 1st one on ps1. I could totally emerse myself in those games. And although the graphics of the earlier ones are nothing like today the tombs were fabulous and the music was ever so haunting.

Dan Well it can't be compared to today's games. But for me it's fun. I guess I can handle the game better. Yeah it's got it's quirks. But just think about alot of games that came out when it did. It's a classic in my eyes. I love most Tomb Raider games. I love all sorts of games and currently playing Monster Hunter and Dangaronpa. But Tomb Raider is my guilty pleasure. To each his own. Cheers

I experianced the worst bugs with that game it ruined it for me... it would freeze in the sewers and I would have to restart the xbox = lost progress. I got the bug where my percentage for doing everything in the game never got to 100% for an achivement... it said I hadn't completed a request of which I had done and never could do again since I had already done it, but it wouldn't register... = broken game that needs fixed.

Rob predicted the future. Aside from Quidditch and being set 50 years in the future, we will be seeing Hogwarts Legacy in February.

I have a lot of Gaming guilty Pleasures. They go as follows -Using Sophia in Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade -Using Rookie rank Digimon in the Cyber Sleuth Games -Halting everything to listen to the music -Using bad equipment because it looks cooler(looking at you, Dragon Age: Inquisition) -Reading Lore bits -Massacring civilians for fun (LOL Skyrim) A few of these may not really be guilty pleasures, but whatever.

My cousin and I played the Harry Potter game with the agreement we'd switch the controller back and forth at save points.... the autosave feature occurred every time you walked through a door... "Wow, glad we don't have to ever walk that corridor again, heaven forbid!"

I love Dynasty Warriors and especially 9. It is really good. Apparently there is an online troll campaign against anyone who thinks it's good. Similarly to Black Panther... which was a god awful movie.

Calling everyone who disagrees with you a troll isn't a good thing imho.

yenioyuncu255 to say "imho" when you're not an "h" person isnt that clever "imho".

imho - in my humble opinion. Not sure what you're getting at here.
@peterjobb89386 жыл бұрын
mrtoolegittoquit2 My words exactly. Marvel is obviously pretty good at advertising but the movies, children stuff. It's getting more and more like they are making parodies for example ragnarok with all that stupid humor for kids. What was that? And don't let yourseves get fooled by today fakereviews and fakenews. Try it out people and then make your own opinion. Maybe Dynasty warriors isn't the best but it's fun and that's what game should be. I'm gonna kill a few hundreds now to calm down.

Mine is Mass Effect. The games feel simultaneously good but also terrible at the same time. The characters are pretty cool but the combat is boring and pretty much everything else sucks lol.
@jrmayun6 жыл бұрын
Yeah the first Mass Effect. The story was just so enticing to let go and the characters were amazing but the combat really wasn't up to par..... and those mako missions.
@VOYAGEUR-YT6 жыл бұрын
jrm_ayun Ya exactly. I haven't played Andromeda and don't plan to but I played the first 3. I always felt the gameplay was the weakest part of the game. Garrus made me keep playing.
@jrmayun6 жыл бұрын
Oh Andromeda. To be honest, barring the glitches, I enjoyed the game. I definitely get the criticisms about the rushed job but I did enjoy the story. Too bad the patches couldn't make up for all the bad press the game already had. Sad they pulled the plug on it. Definitely had potential specially considering the clues dropped during gameplay as to where the story was headed to :/
@jaxnotreal6 жыл бұрын
RealGamerManz Don’t waste your time with Andromeda, it’s a hot mess of glitches.
@sarahdean91696 жыл бұрын
OMFG! Bite your tongue! Mass Effect is NEVER a guilty pleasure like WTF MAN! (LOL!) Hollie... Hollie... Where's Hollie at? She'll back me up. And also don't listen to everybody about Andromeda and try it out for yourself because it's really a great story and once you get use to the game-play mechanics it's like your a f***ing superhero or something. I have 2 full play through and am on my 3rd switching between all the profiles and powers is amazing if you know how to play it. Also multi-player is pretty badass to.

Oh my, I didn't even remember I played that Harry Potter game a bit till you showed the carts in the bank. Also, I was sick with the flu once and layed in bed playing Zuma for days.. now just seeing it makes me nauseous. But the clack of the balls is quite satisfying.
