‘Our hearts are with the people in Gaza’: Demonstrators in London call to end Israeli Occupation

As the war between Israel and occupied Palestine escalates to terrifying heights, thousands of demonstrators swarmed central London earlier this week to show solidarity with Palestinians, to call for an end to the Israeli Occupation, and to demand that the Israeli military cease its relentless bombing of civilians in Gaza. “We only know what we see on television,” Sarah Callaway told TRNN during the demonstration, “but it looks like the second World War, it looks catastrophic, and it really looks like the Israeli government is trying to do a genocide on Palestinian people.” Nadia Péridot reports on the ground from London.

Gaza has been under repressive rule by Hamas, who put all the money into their pockets and made the people suffer, and we didn't hear or see any of these protestors! Hamas killed everyone who opposed their rule afther they got elected and no one was on the streets in London! Building materials were being used for tunnels and bunkers and these people you see "caring"about Palestnians didn't care. But it is worse... In Yemen, where Saudi's and Iranians fight their proxy war, many more civilians/muslims have died. Do you see the streets in London full of protestors calling SA or Iran to stop this war? No! Last month Pakistan announced it would deport 1.5 million Afghans (who fled that other friendly islamic group) but did you see the protests anywhere? I did not! One can only conclude that they don't support eachother..... I'm affraid they only share a common hatred of non-muslims, especially Jews.

Hamas was voted in with a narrow majority over the other parties, getting roughly 45% of the vote. This occurred in 2005-2006, and around half the people in Gaza are around 18 or younger. 2005-2006 is roughly 18 years ago. A significant amount of people living there right now had no say in whether or not Hamas got voted in power and besides even if 100% of them did, it doesnt justify bombing them indiscriminately. Have humanity. And lets not forget all the peaceful protests the Palestinians attempted only to be met with violence, and the people of west bank who dont have a Hamas in power and are still killed and oppressed by settlers and the israeli government.
