Our home expenses in Hua Hin, Thailand...Not sure if we will be able to afford the property taxes ;)

Today, we share with you some of our home expenses, home maintenance, electric, water, and property tax costs on our new home in Hua Hin, Thailand.
We recently purchased a small 2 bedroom pool villa that we absolutely love!

Great content. I shared before that I think we have overlapped in Hua Hin last year, we too are considering buying something there, we've traveled extensively and the place just speaks to us...this year we did Singapore, Malaysia, and Vietnam with friends from San Francisco Bay Area and waived them back off to the rat race with a promise to introduce them to Hua Hin...we have set up second home shop in Philippines my wife's native country and downsized into a manageable situation in Florida after moving primary residence there from California. Our family fits Hua Hin very well and we plan to spend a fair amount of time there going forward. Greetings, Kimberly. My husband and I are considering buying a new home or a home that would be built for us. While in Hua Hin we visited various different homes with our real estate agent. We really liked the new home construction development called Mali Vista. Can you let us know what community you decided to live in? We look forward to meeting you folks after we arrive on May 1st. I am glad to have found your channel. New subscriber here. I lived in Hua Hin from 2001-2007 when it was still a fairly small fishing village. The (Thai) wife and I have been living in AZ since 2007 but we still go back every couple of years for a small vacation. We are looking forward to going back to Thailand to retire in the next year or two. Where about in AZ did you guys live? We live/work in the Estrella Ranch area of Goodyear. Hello Kimberley, I am watching this video of yours. Do you have any regrets buying that house in Hua Hin. I will be in Koh Samui in 5 months time. This year our summer was terrible. We had 10 days that went over the mid 40's mark. In some parts of Australia. The temperature was over 57. I do not like the heat. Please remember Australia is very expensive and very hot. The best time to visit down under is the winter. June, July or August. But then you get floods.

Great summary of expenses. What does home insurance there run? Also, we are going to come down to Hua Hin this summer and poke around and would be interested in knowing your builder. We live in the USA and have built a home in Chiangmai last year and are interested in possibly building a villa or home somewhere in the south. We spent all summer in Chiangmai last year and will be there for 3 months this year. Love Thailand.

Hello! Our house insurance was about $300 USD for the year... the builder has LINE if u want to chat with him. I do have floor plans I can forward you if that's something you would want. Let me know! The development is called Khemanatra Development.

Hi Lynn... yes, many available homes to rent... some in this area. We are in a little village called Wong Phong... south of Hua Hin in Pranburi. Love the quiet, yet close enough for us to get to town easily :)... u won't have any trouble finding something!

We bought our car 2 years ago. Car insurance is about $350 usd per year. Sticker was $15 usd. Prices of cars vary here and so do models. :)

We just watched your video on your husband's favorite restaurant in Hua Hin, He asked if anyone knows the English name of the restaurant. The sign says: Som Tom and the owner's name. Her name is J Poon (spelled so you know how to pronounce it). The menu appears to serve alot of Issan food. Issan is the large eastern and northeastern part of Thailand where it is primarily all rice and onion farming. We took a picture of the restaurant from your video and will eat there when we go to Hua Hin this summer. Prices are great too. Thanks for the video.

Easily!!! Everything very reasonable. About $25 for dental cleaning and x-rays. I pay $1100 approx per year for medical insurance.
