We took a week of unschooling while snowed in. Board games, historical films, and just having fun in the snow.

Jessica these are so brilliant!!!! I am excited to grab them for my youngest, who just started zoology (again😂😂 sure you can relate)with Sassafras science. She is going to love adding in a question and video on animals topics. Our new year plans are diving back in to our regular routine EXCEPT with some adjustments from the fall. Fall always feels like a trial and error period, then we come back after break to what works and ditch what didn't. This year that means trimming down quite a lot, my husband taking over the family read alouds and more free time for the kids to play, etc. We have been trying to add in more learning through videos, games and activities which we have somehow gotten away from in the past year. These discovery decks are the perfect jumping off point for adding more of that in to our routine!❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉

What a great idea.. love the discovery decks. Great for Strewing!! We are starting the Greek mythology unit Monday. A cool idea.. you could do a printable 12mo family homeschool calendar with a question and QR code for each weekday 😉 We would totally do something like this for our morning basket. It can even play to some of the seasons and holidays. Some great rabbit trails to be had...

Love all these great ideas! Do you read the book out loud or let her read independently? We also like to ease into our schedule after the holidays. And there's been a lot of sickness this year.

Oh yes! Come to mama! I instantly see a use for these decks in my home. My kids come to every meal revved on high like it’s circus time. Sometimes I play an educational video or an audio book just so I can get a minute of quiet between lessons while they eat. These decks and the novelty of them are perfect for meal time redirection. They will LOvE this!!!

This video was made for our family!!!! We also were sick with that wicked flu, that took 3 - 4 weeks out of our life! It left the kids feeling like they didn't even have a vacation! So we have had to alter and ease into homeschool! I always love your ideas! Thank you!
