Our Infertility Journey (pt 1): Pituitary Tumor, Numerous Doctors, & Quintuplets! Keep Seeking Help!

When people find out that we had quintuplets, the very first question we get asked is "Was that natural?" or "Did you do fertility treatment?"
The answer is yes, we did pursue fertility treatment. While quintuplets was not our goal, we praise God we have five healthy babies!
We recognize the journey of infertility is not an easy one, and we are putting this story out as a source of hope to anyone who is going through infertility. This video is quite long, and is actually only part 1 of 3 of where we dive deep into our journey going through infertility. We discuss Stephanie's pituitary surgery, being discouraged and thinking we may never have kids, to not giving up and keep seeking help.
We hope this story helps someone going through something similar, and if there is any way we can help, please let us know!
- Graham & Stephanie

Ah so Stephanie is an ATHLETE!!! I knew it! I have even more admiration for her. She trained in an arena that sometimes teaches girls & women to prefer thin body types, she sacrificed her self to carry 5 sweet healthy babies and she still looks gorgeous. (BTW-Her legs gave it away!!)

I’m having a really hard time staying sub to you guys! I want to, but you need to let her talk and tell the story for the love of God! The women is the one who went thru the issues of no period, the size of the patch, no estrogen all the issue let her tell the story! She needs to be the one talking the main one.

You two have been through a lot at your young ages. Your video will give hope to those who are experiencing infertility. I can sympathize with your experience of doctors who don't really listen. I've been there too, but for different medical reasons. It's extremely frustrating. Three cheers for both of you for seeking other doctors. I've just recently started watching your videos and I come by them piecemeal, so not in order, but I'm pretty much caught up now. Your babies are adorable.

34:07 My MIL was the Chief Nursing Officer and VP or a hospital for 28 years. When she left the hospital, her staff was devastated and so were all the patients that were treated from the amazing nursing staff she hired and lead over the years. She was AMAZING at her job. Nurses are SO important and underrated, underpaid, and under appreciated, a lot of the time, in my opinion. Thanks for acknowledging the nurses that were a part of your journey!!!

Graham, sorry to say I’ve never watched the Office 😂. I am however binge watching this enjoyable and relaxing new KZbin channel “We are the Freels”. It’s refreshing to watch a channel where it’s obvious people are just being “real”. It feels like an enjoyable evening with friends. Stephanie, it’s nice to see you continuing to feel better as you heal from pregnancy and of course the c-section. It’s such a blessing that your beautiful babies are doing so well ❤ your sweet little ones are blessed to have you as their parents.

I just came upon your channel today. Congratulations on your beautiful children. So happy to know they are holding their own. I know the joy you must feel seeing them grow and becoming stronger everyday. You also captured my attention when you said Wilmington then you followed up with tumor. I was sitting here saying to myself oh …do not go to the doctors in Wilmington…go to UNC. ( the doctors in Wilmington are fine, but for tumors go to Chapel Hill) I was so thrilled to hear those words come out later on in the conversation. Then to know it was a cyst and not a tumor was FABULOUS! During 2016 I lived on Oak Island and I discovered a tumor in my nasal passages. Within 24 hrs Wilmington sent me straight to UNC… Dr ZANATION was my doctor. He is amazing and I will forever be grateful for his dedication to his patients. So happy things have ended well….💜💜💜💜💜

Enjoying your channel and realize any decisions of Round two are a long way off. I do want you to encourage you to throughly research HG. My daughter in law stuggled with that and it is no joke! She only had singletons . Dont know if it is worse with multiples. But I do know it tends to get more severe with each pregnancy. She still chose to go through it 3 times and may have gone again but my son said no. Every one has to make their own decision what is going to be good for their own family and no one should judge your decisions Just go into it with all the information available and with your eyes open . ❤

Sent by Five to Love. Congratulations on your five beautiful gifts. There truly is not anything more precious than being chosen to be Mom and Dad to a child/children. I wish you loads of love, joy, laughter, hugs, kissing boo boots, moments of quiet and on the other end of the spectrum utter chaos which later in life will make your heart smile, enjoy all of the firsts and you will have five times the number of firsts and each child's first will be treasured and a most joyful memories to hold near and close to your hearts. Each of you will have a different perspective on which or what is special to each of you. I guess what I am saying is savor each and every moment. Time is fleeting and in the blink of an eye those very special gifts will be grown. From a momma of five very special, wonderful sons who made my heart and me complete. I knew who I was and I needed nothing more to complete me than being my five boys momma.

Please turn off the comments section until after the babies are discharged and you are out of crisis mode. You can turn on the comments section once Stephanie and the babies are healed and you are home settled into a routine.

So happy your babies are all healthy. Were any of them twins? Or other multiples?

My SIL had a pituitary tumor. It involved her optic nerve, and she's no longer able to drive. She also ended up with meningitis after the surgery. I'm glad you had a better recovery! It also affected her depth perception, and she had difficulty with stairs.

I like details, but it would be helpful if you moved a little faster through the story with not quite so many details. Thanks.

I’m trying sooooooo hard to watch their videos. I found out about them like 99.9 percent of us did from “Five two love” I’m finding the videos hard to watch because of Graham. To me it seems like he cuts her off in the middle of a sentence. He seems to correct her on comment she will make about her body ,how she was feeling, mainly about things he has no right to comment on because he wasn’t the one physically going through the struggle she was having with her monthly cycle. to me he seems to interrupt her and cut her off. If he doesn’t like what she’s talking about because it’s not focused on him I don’t know how many times in the video he would say “yeah whatever we’ll get back to that.” Graham seems to undermined her. It really does seem like it’s all about him and how he was feeling and what he thought and what he wanted it may not be but to me that is how it came across in this video so many times in this video I wish I could reach through my phone and put duct tape over his mouth to get him to shut up to let her tell her story about her body. I will keep trying to watch a couple more their videos but at this point I’m about 95% on cashing out and saying farewell.

I had migraines for over a year and prolactin and asked my PCP for an MRI (I worked in medicine). Voila, a pituicytoma. They tried to remove it and my pituitary stopped working.
