That was great! Oh I miss Germany. I felt a tear. It always strikes me how clean and orderly the streets are. Just beautiful! To me there is a real feeling of comfort when I see images of Germany, I can’t quite explain my kindred feelings but they are feelings that go past my brain and right from the heart.

I lived in West Germany for three years ago! The clean streets, the flowers, the cobblestones, and all of it, were so wonderful! I remember seeing chimney sweepers, "honey wagons", etc! We had to heat our bath water using oil for the water heater. Every year in the winter I think of Germany, how it snowed every time I blinked! I just loved living there! We lived in Kitzingen for awhile. I miss the Cordon Bleu I always ordered at resturants.

sissimoody My husband and I have only been there 1 time. Visiting our best friends. Since then they have moved to another country but one of my friends still has a house there. I hope to go back to Germany and see more of it. We were in Hamburg. We were only there for 17 days. I cried when we left. I cried that I was leaving friends but also wanted to never leave. I don’t know why it gripped my heart. There was also something about the culture that rang true to me. Well, there is no perfect place on this earth. It’s just that we are all drawn to certain things, and Germany was very special to me. So I enjoy that Kirsten and her husband are kind to share part of their trip with us. You were so lucky to live there.

For some of us it is too orderly and organised! Even nature is delimited and told where it can be and not be. I appreciate a landscape that is more natural and less defined but there are some very pretty areas.

Oh, this is bringing back so many memories of my travels in Germany. I met some truly hospitable people. As someone who loves Germany and England, what’s better than videos of such lovable Germans living in England? So glad you made it safely back to your homeland, and because of the train carrying your car, you won’t have to quarantine when you return to jolly old England. Having many dear friends I visit in the Bremen area and having to cancel my trip this year since I live in the USA, vielen Dank for taking me with you to my dear Deutschland. Although my heart hurts seeing all this German beauty and not be able to experience it myself, I’m crying tears of joy that I can be there with two of my favorite people🤗

Thank you so much for sharing this special trip with your viewers! This allows us to learn and experience other countries in a much more personal way. I love the beauty of your childhood small village, especially the beauty and gentle little church....I would love to sit in a pew there and have such a personal, quiet time of prayer and reflection. The houses are very different than England, but look like strong, solidly built generational family homes. The beauty of nature with the fishing pond and walking trails...so serene. Hope your parents' anniversary is wonderful...their golden anniversary will be full of riches...having their family members surrounding them will be the true wealth or "gold" of that special anniversary moment. Blessings and safe journeys to you both.

Darling speaking as a parent your parents will just be grateful and happy to see you and that is probably the best gift you could’ve ever give them I think this Covid thing scared a whole lot of us and I think it’s made a lot of us realize How very special and fragile life is I think just being with them and sharing their very special day will mean more to them then anything else ever could please tell your parents I said happy anniversary and have a wonderful wonderful vacation. but I am truly sorry that your reservations were canceled.
