I really appreciate how Emily takes the time to explain the genes of the babies, and the egg-cutting process, how the blood from the cuts are not injuries to the baby, and suchlike. I've been watching for 3 summers now - BOY how times does fly! - so I'm used to it. But it's always someone's first time, so she makes sure to be clear about that. :) That's a sign of a good educator, able to tell the same information over and over without getting impatient about it.

I'm now the proud owner of that lil' inchworm at 25:23! The unique Z-shaped spots he has near his tail make it easy to tell. When I stopped by the facility to pick one out, there were two lavender condas to choose from. I picked that guy up and he immediately started doing that same inchworm up my arm and it was love at first sight for me and I didn't even need to see the other one. We named him Nigel, after the Thornberry (he's a hognose, after all). He's an awesome eater and doesn't mind being held at all, though he's currently on my own "naughty reptile of the day" board for pooping in his water dish.

You should post a "color-corrected" photo version of the lavenders so we can see how purple they are! Also those little racing stripes are *so* cute!! @ashleyschenk7642 жыл бұрын
Pin stripe beh beez.
@seli.popcornpfoten2 жыл бұрын
@@meowthekitty321 There will probably not be a new morph. The problem with conda is that it's co-dominant so if you pair two of those striped ones together 50% will be conda, 25% will be super conda and 25% will be normal. If they are conda they only get the conda gene from one parent and if they are superconda you won't see a stripe. So it's kinda hard (if even possible) to line breed with condas. Sure you can always use the striped ones but it's still not as efficient as with a recessive gene for the reasons I stated above.

I would say the best snakes I have seen are the lavenders. I REALLY like how they look and how much work u put in each video. U taught me alot on this channel. The first video I saw was the snake eggs. But now I know you do a ton more stuff than eggs. I hope u have a wonderful life in your facility. Have a a nice day!

I REALLLLLLLY want a lavender hognose. To anyone reading that hasn't seen one in person they are gorgeous. Some aren't so pretty but others really are unreal looking.

You can almost see the lavender in the perlite. It’s gray with a nice hit of purple.

The way emily reacts when she sees a baby snake is so heartwarming

I love how Emily spends time on the positive aspects of like,,,, a lot of the individual snakes, even just a slightly cooler looking conda or something. Really cute.

I love how they actually let the snakes come out of their eggs instead of pulling them out like some people who are EVIL🐍🐍

So glad you got lavenders, and what a cool first clutch of the year! Lavender is one of those genes that a camera just can't do any justice.

Such mellow babies! One had the puffy face to start with, but no strikes, no hissing, no "play dead"- just a bunch of really chill bbs. Also- does anybody know Morse code well enough to read it on a wriggly baby snake?

I was thinking the same! Such mild mannered little babes ❤️
