im an australian who has owned bullrouts for over a decade now. they are not a joke. the ER ended up giving me morphine via IV after i got spiked while cleaning my big female bullrouts tank
@Bambi_Sapphic12 сағат бұрын
the issue with bullrouts is when the big girls spike you and get you really deep with multiple spines, usually from being stood on. The only time you end up in hospital is if its the big ones like double the size of the one used in this and if your body reacts badly to the venom like i did.
@nicholasneyhart39611 сағат бұрын
Oh God, I got spiked by four venomous species, a lionfish, foxface, hippo tang, and a marine catfish I had in a marine predator tank. All of which were painful, but I can't imagine getting spiked by one of these guys.

As a child I have been stung by a Bullrout (freshwater stone fish) and I can say they are painful, as a minor I spent the night in the hospital on heavy medication certainly not a good time. I have not been stung by a saltwater stonefish, nor do I wish to. However, a bullrout pain will only last overnight, well it did with me, and I was about 11 or 12 years of age at the time, did not see it, only felt it. I certainly would not do it purposely to tell the pain to someone else. Got me in the foot and I had a red mark going up my leg of which points to blood poison. I would not recommend anybody from inflicting this kind of pain. The nurses at the Sarina hospital in Queensland Australia I thank you for what you have done for me at the time of this incident as you were great at your job.
