Cool plans. Sam congratulations. I do some light dabbling in the investing. I have some favorite stocks but tend to put more into index funds. Spreads it out a little bit. But I love my Apple, Tesla, and disney. Everything seems to be down at the moment so I am keeping an eye on the market to put some funds in at close to bottom. That pup was turned around and waiting for you. He was cute. I just got back with my wife from st Lucia and my action cam broke halfway through. I agree on the smallness of it. I am so happy to see how lovingly Audrey’s family receives Samuel. They are always concerned about his enjoying new dishes and that he feels welcome despite his limited ability to speak Spanish. I married a wonderful Puerto Rican woman in 1966 and was similarly warmly received by her family. Marrying into a family from a different culture allows you to experience a society at a level that no tourists ever get to enjoy.

Another great video! The food at your grandma's birthday looked so good and restaurant quality. I appreciated your behind-the-scenes info about your change in camera to the GoPro for one of your cameras. We are also trying to decide which route to use (we currently just use Android phone/iPhone), so this helped. For your videos, I like both approaches (GoPro and/or DSLR); ultimately, it is your personalities that make your videos so enjoyable, regardless of the technology used. i just noticed you use packing cubes, can i ask what you recommend?...we were in cozco and lima years and years and forever ago while shining path was everywhere and lima was burning and in uproar with their government at that time. We road the trains with shining path and chickens etc and we had a fabulous time anyways.. Cuzco has changed so much! there werent signs and there werent guided hikesk we just were on our own! we got to be where we wanted and to really breath in the history of the ancient people. Also we were in Cuzco for Christmas Eve and it was such an incredible experience in the town square. That was 35 years ago.....and still such a wonderful travel experience lives on in our hearts...we continue to travel and i love watching your videos! We went to Patagonia in February on an extreme hiking trip and had the most amazing time! Yea it was rough but wow the vistas! the people....the experience! We ended in Buenos aires and i went to the pizza places you guys suggested and had the tomato pie with anchovies...delicious! Next up...Spain in july....suggestions on fooderies etc( we will be in barcelona , valencia and madrid) and of course ive watched your spain videos! safe travels!

Yes, we love the packing cubes! They were an absolute game-changer. I usually aim for a pack of 5 that has a mix of sizes, but I've also used laundry bags as an alternative when I don't have enough cubes. Also, your travels through Peru back then sound amazing! Glad you got to see and explore as you wanted, even through what would be considered very turbulent times in the country's history. And Spain sounds amazing!!! I forget all the places we ate at, but it's all in the videos! I can imagine all the churros, tortillas and tintos de verano!

I am digging your new style. I have to say shooting video now has brought me back to blogging in 2010 and I really like that people connect with the storytelling....because I don't have the video skills 🤣 but I have noticed a lot of people going toward GoPro and the DJI Osmo and it's looking great

Thanks Ayngelina! We feel like we're going back to our roots with a simpler camera and yes, it does feel like the early days of blogging!! For a while there it felt like we had to have the latest camera, and the drone footage, and the slow-mo shots, and the best mic, but maaan all that gear can sure start to weigh you down and take away from the fun. This new approach feels more like we're filming a vlog for a friend and we kind of like it that way.

I do have some feedback on the new style, and hoping that you are truly open to it, as it is only intended as honest feedback, not criticism. Hoping to help. I’m all for the new style, especially if it helps you to cut down the editing time!!!! I imagine that takes substantial time. The thing that made me first notice the new style was that sometimes conversations, say while walking to a restaurant, seemed a bit long, for me, and had some repetition to what was being said. I imagine having to pull out the big camera to do such things created “self-editing” in the fact it wasn’t used as often in those situations, whereas with the GoPro, it becomes so easy to pull it out, and get footage. For me, I imagine the challenge is seeking a balance between those two styles. Again, I love your channel, and only offer this feedback, as requested, to potentially help in knowing what some viewers may be experiencing. Happy Travels, and looking forward to your next video!

Hi Daniella, the cubes were from Amazon. I don't remember the brand, but it was a pack of 5 ranging in sizes. As for the luggage, we've got Osprey and Deuter on this trip. The Osprey has more heavy-duty wheels and it's the one we've been using the longest. Hope this helps!

I love Peru. But just like everywhere else in the world, the people aggressively selling you stuff kinda ruins it. Usually when I say no they would leave me alone but in Peru they kept following me as if I would suddenly change my mind and buy their wares. Anyway, aside from that Peru is beautiful (and the Ayahuasca changed my life).
