This was one of my favourite videos! Over the last couple of years, we’ve adopted two old whippets, both strays, who would have otherwise been put down. It’s so important for people to give older animals a chance, they have brought so much love and happiness into our lives. All of your animals are super lucky to have you and Lahiru (as you are to have them)! 🥰

I was crying all throughout the video as it brings me so much joy to be seeing how Lahiru and Lucie help these poor souls. There are puppies who are being dumped near my house, often in very critical stages so i gladly help them, feed them and care until they get better and move them to safer places. Im more than happy to be doing that. I would really really love to work at this sanctuary one day.

I also adopt one black dog 🐶 while she was walking around my home. She had a white part under her neck just like the cute dog that you have shown in this video. She was very unhealthy and dirty. However, I washed her and feed her. Day by day she became healthy and much more pleasant. I vaccinated her even. But suddenly she got disappeared and when I watch this it recalls all of my memories with her. Hope she will have a good life .

I have seen a billion videos on youtube this year from threats about nuclear war, to covid, to funny memes, politics, cat videos, dog videos, sports ect. but i think this video of yours tops the list for the year! it is theee best video of the year i have watched. Such amazing stories each one of them. To do this for animals that are forgotten is just beyong brilliant. The sheer number of dogs and cats yasall have already changed is beyond belif and working with disabled dogs is even more creditable. And love the fact that you haven't forgotten about the many negleted Cats too. I will be sending yaall a fat donation soon once i get my next paycheck cause this is exactly the sought of people and cause im looking to contribute too. Putting it simply STUNNING STUFF!!!

People don't realize how loving and protective dogs could be. A dog's love will never cease. I live in Manila, and have one crossbreed and three adopted dogs. Keep up the good work

A very late comment...it's the exactly the same story in Thailand...I have rescued so many, I had 8 dogs down to 3 now due to age and illness. I also have 4 cats - they are all rescues. I would never buy a pedigree, I only adopt. I also feed stray animals. I absolutely LOVED the story of your animals, bless you and bless them. Greetings from Thailand!

THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING YOU DO FOR THESE PRECIOUS FUR BABIES. Seen how that grown woman using a long stick to stop that tiny PRECIOUS pup entering her land was disgusting ' Seriously pissed me off. Then hearing how a temple dumped that disabled PRECIOUS pup. Proves what I believe about people ' Who pretend to love and respect and follow the great teachings of great wonderful Buddha by serving him 'MOST to be fake vicious and evil to be true. As actions like this insults EVERYTHING what great wonderful Buddha stood for and represent. Being a HUGE HUGE HUGE animal lover myself 'It's so heartwarming and nice to see human beings like you and your partner doing what you are doing to these PRECIOUS fur babies. THANK YOU .. Aw❤ This was such an inspiring video! You’re doing a great job in Sri Lanka looking after those disabled/abandoned animals. My husband is from there (I’m from Europe) and it was appalling to see how many stray animals there are on the streets in Sri Lanka. My husband’s family has been feeding stray cats and dogs but didn’t particularly show them love. I took in one cat and showed them how to feed her (I’m not even sure whether Sri Lankans know that cats are carnivores so they need meat to survive!). She was often fed by only leftovers with little or no meat in it at all and a lot of bones. Bones - esp small ones-can hurt their intestines or get caught in their throat. (Small, sharp bones aren’t good for dogs either for the same reasons). The cat was so grateful. She followed me everywhere-it was obvious that I became her fave person haha- and came to my lap or next to me to sleep. We often napped together. Sadly I had to leave but I told my husband’s family to look after her properly ❤️. It’d be great if you could continue educating people in Sri Lanka on how to treat animals and disabled animals in general.
