As a momma of 3 grown daughters and now a nana of 8 perfect grand babies here in lovely Nashville Indiana (Brown County- which I suggest you & Daryl come and visited), routine is SO important in a baby’s life. And, actually that having a routine, is ideal for anyone of any age. It just helps the entire mental health all the way around. Good job Kim for installing such a healthy part in your baby’s life👍🏻. He will appreciate this as a grown adult and it will help him form into a productive, healthy adult.

I’m so glad you found a formula that works!!. If you find yourself with another baby and have the same issues check for lip tie/tongue ties. My babies have had issues with that . A lot of the symptoms that you described can stem from being tied up in the mouth. Not a lot of people know about that and most doctors are not able to detect them unless they are very severe. The best place to go is a dentist that specializes in ties. It’s a night and day difference once it’s resolved if that’s the issue.

You were born to be his mother. I am so happy to see that you trusted your gut concerning his feedings and what works for you and baby. I could not breastfeed any of my three. I tried but when my milk never came in I happily bottle fed them. All three of mine were sensitive to cow's milk. We went with Nutramigen and they were happier and healthy. We are a firefighter family too. He has 35 years of service in. He always loved to help feed when he was home. You have to do what is best for your family. Great job mama!

Thanks for the video. Definitely can relate to you. My daughter is around the same age. Also definitely I am a person that loves my schedule. So thankful to be able to get her on a schedule! Honestly I think recipes are a suggestion and it is so awesome and amazing to be able to use produce from your garden! I get such a thrill when I’m able to make a meal from my garden. Good suggestion on listening to something uplifting while getting ready for the day. Sometimes it is hard to get in Bible reading when you have a newborn.

I’m about to be a first-time grandma 😊but when I was having babies, we did the scheduling/routine thing too & our babies were content & slept through the night anywhere from 6-8 weeks old. I love how you keep a schedule but are flexible too. That was a struggle for me with the first baby. Scheduling keeps you sane but so does flexibility! 😉

I also wanted to add a private comment about the goat milk. Please check this out with a pediatrician or your family doctor. Newborns cannot handle those large protein molecules of milk. Breast feeding is so difficult sometimes but there are other infant formulas.. (please understand not judging)

It is great to see you on a schedule. It is tuff after your first born. The goat milk formula brought back memories from when I was a babysitter in my teenage years. I babysat a little guy that could only tolerate goat milk. He was a year and a half at the time. Only time I ever heard of it until now. Glad it is working for your lil guy!

So glad you found a formula that works well for your baby. Not all babies like nursing, for some it is just too much work. My brother hated breastmilk, he thrived on formula. I agree, routine is very important. Your baby adores you and he is also adorable.
