Good morning from Swedish Lapland! 🙂 I am a 57 year old nurse who lives a very slow life in many respects. We have lived in the same rental flat for over 30 years, and like to take it as it comes when we are not at work. I have, in the last year or so, started rising at 5 to start my mornings reading about things related to my profession, which always feels like a good start of the day. My work is what gives my life purpose and I pride myself on doing the best I can. In the afternoon I am way to knackered to study. That's when I take my slow walk, often - weather permitting, our winters are pretty long - with a sketchbook in hand and a thermos with a hot drink. Dinner, a bath and perhaps I'll see a good film and knit something. I haven't seen any tv for at least 20 years. I prefer youtube for finding channels like your own and connect with people of my own heart. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and your life. 😊

I live in the South in the United States and I have a "Southern" accent. Narrow boats, i love those. Wish we had them here. I'm 58 and in a wheelchair so it's easy to live a slow life. I stay busy but i take breaks, sit outside, I paint and garden as well. I am not in a hurry to get busy and i try to be more present. I also like to meditate. I spent years running and rushing around and the wheelchair slowed me down ALOT. I still do everything myself, even the yardwork. I have a prwtty big yard. I also go to the gym 3 days a week. It's difficult getting enough exercise in a chair. Walking, or rolling in my case, meditation is wonderful.

Good morning from Crete. Every morning I do the same thing. I wake up around 4 or 5 o'clock feed the cats and sit in the garden with a cup of tea. I wait till the sun comes up and I water the garden and see what's growing and what needs doing. Everyday I look to see if there's something new popped up. I call it finding a miracle. When my husband gets up (much later) he always asks if I found 'a miracle'. There's nearly always something. Bliss!

Good morning from a rather lovely sunny Scotland. I have watched a few of your videos today and appreciated what you were saying. The sunshine always puts me in a much better mood regardless of what is going on. Though to be fair I am usually in a good mood anyway the sun just gives it that extra boost. I am 54 and work as a nurse which can be stressful but I counter that by working part time and having many hobbies. I love to sew, crochet, knit, weave and spin my own wool. I also do wire wrapping sometimes too, though not as often. I confess I have only got back into the more "crafty" hobbies in the last 4 or 5 years and sometimes wonder why I waited so long. But I also love to paint portraits, though Ive not painted anything in over a year. Having said that, it is ok I can always go back to it when I fancy it, again. I confess I waited far to long to get into many of my hobbies. So my advice to anyone is to, ignore what they believe others will think of them and try absolutely everything when they get a chance and not wait so long to find their hobby. Oh and no one has to be great at it to either enjoy or benefit from it. Everyone has to start somewhere and learn, no one can just pick something up and be great at it in the beginning. oh and not everyone has to be as eclectic as I am. I am a bit of a oddity but not completely unique, many creative people can be eclectic but not everyone is so no need to feel bad if a person puts all their focus on one hobby. My house is not in an idyllic location as such. I do not have a view of an amazing countryside with no other houses in sight, though it is not a bad view to be fair. Sometimes the sunsets can be spectacular. I live in a rather modest 2 bedroom house. My house is full of craft and art supplies. Just as well I live alone lol But the best thing about where I live is that I live so close to the sea and I can go and spend many an hour sitting at the beach watching the waves roll in. Plus as an added bonus, just a short drive will have me in beautiful countryside/farm land.

You sound like you have it pretty much sorted. Lots of hobbies to turn to as you feel, and the coast to sit by. So many people who have reacted to my videos seem to mirror my own lifestyle.

@@primalengland That is kinda cool really. I guess the KZbin algorithm is not so bad after all lol it allows for people to find like minded people they can relate to ;) and from a psychological/mental wellbeing perspective we all need a little connection now and then. Its just good to see content from a uk basis too. I look forward to seeing more of your content

Sounds good to me. I paint and do art, and it tends to come in bursts. I usually see another painter or artist and get inspired. I too, like getting up early to turn on the coffee maker, do some stretches, and drink some water ( I'm 61 and try and do everything I can to keep my back and joints flexible, its a hobby in itself you might say .. ! ) What I notice in all the comments, is everyone appreciates the small things, the gorgeous little moments, that might seem mundane at first glance , but are actually wonderful ! The supposed "rainbow and unicorn" moments of lavish holidays, major events, and lavish parties are things of the past for me.

@primalengland5 ай бұрын
I think city living deserves its own series. It’s not something I’ve ever experienced, although my son lives in the middle of Manchester. I’ve got a video queued up to come out in a few days. It’s about how being in urban environments and countryside environments influences our decisions. Just sit in a spot in the city and think about what brings you pleasure and what brings you happiness. Then find a nice spot in the countryside or a park in the city, and repeat the exercise. That’s basically my next but one video.

It's lovely to hear about your morning. Mine is opposite to yourself. I'm at my best in the morning so I usually do a combination of household/gardening jobs, write blog articles, scan or post-edit photos, deal with emails, etc, and go out for a short walk most days. Before lunch I'll play a pc game for about an hour then after lunch take a cuppa to bed, read for an hour or so then sleep for a couple of hours. In the evening I cook a meal from scratch, do a few kitchen jobs then either watch a dvd, something on Netflix or some KZbin videos (got rid of my tv 15 years ago) and if not too tired I might do a bit of sewing or artwork or maybe some baking. I've found that to be the perfect way for me to control chronic fatigue. And I love to stand and look through the windows or be on my plant-filled balcony and watch the birds flying in and out of the trees, enjoy the changing skies and see the odd fox or squirrel. :)

Good Morning from Lake Wales in central Florida. We are full time travelers in our small RV since retirement 8 years ago. Our mornings are for us to breakfast, chat a bit, take long walks together or apart and just relax into the day. Afternoons are for a midday meal, errands together or apart, small or large tasks, sight seeing or visiting museums or local events, emails, text replies and such. Evenings are for a light meal, reading, streaming a movie or favorite YT channel, another shorter walk, bathing, editing photos from the day and working on a simple blog, more chatting, preparing for the next day and slumber. It's the life others only dream of or maybe others find boring but it suites us perfectly
