"About the singular "bomb" I use in my example at 6:12 as opposed to the commonly sung "bombs" - Francis Scott Key's original manuscript of his poem, "Defence of Fort M'Henry," uses the singular version in the fifth line of the poem. However, "bombs" was apparently also in use as early as 1814, the same year in which Key penned the manuscript."
