I buy all of my daughter’s clothes second hand and the occasional outdoor item new. Honestly it’s way more fun and original styling with her and much cheaper. We can’t afford such big hauls anyway. I also don’t want her to get really into consumerism.

Yeah, I was watching this thinking this is why we’re soooo consumer-based as a society. We start em out SO young. And now filming ourselves doing these yucky “hauls” in front of our kids? Talking to a camera? To share with strangers? It’s very Black Mirror. Of course our OOTD is the most important decision we make in America. This problem isn’t going to get better.

My son started kindergarden as well last week it is such a big moment 🥹 but we have a box for spare clothes that stays in the kindergarden and on fridays we don't have to pack lunch boxes because they do what's called a healthy lunch were they prep and eat a healthy lunch togerher 👍 i love that. greetings from Austria

My 3 years old son that just started kindergarten after nursery, wears thst small backpack. We put 2,small snack boxes and smaller bottle with water that the refill at school. So it can be useful (as for bsck up clothes, they stsy at school).

My two / almost 3 year old goes to nursery in stuff I'm happy to chuck straight in the bin if needed because it's so stained with ink, paint, mud and food haha. We have nursery clothes and non nursery clothes including shoes!

Hey Nikole, just a thought from me regarding the clothes: Have you ever thought of buying at least the pricier items like the rain jacket/pants in more neutral colors, so Oakley might wear them later on? I understand, little people have certain taste sometimes and of course Sage must like it, to wear it. I always tried to do this when my kids where little (teenagers now, one moved out). I had a boy first and he had all navy blue rain gear (back then there was only blue or pink available). After him I had two girls and they wore the blue rain gear again. I also recall a red snow suit, that all of them wore. I not intend to offend, only a thought.

Woow, thats weird. In Czech kids start to go to kinder 3 yeers old and go to school 6-7 years old 😮. They are still so little. I can not imagine what they do in school😅. But I understand the amount of clothes. I think thats normal and I consider myself minimalist. I just try to get them second hand for sustainability reasons.

We made the same backpack mistake with our first this year. I was laughing at the turtle shell affect of the other little kids and then slapped in the face with reality lol!! In Canada do you not have a school uniform? We do in Australia and it certainly makes it easy to dress your littles each morning because there is no choice involved. Having said that, everything you got for Sage is very cute.
