Hi Dave. Maybe you know this, but, For removing the pin bones , you can start at the tail end of the fillet. On either side of the center line put a cut from just to the side of the center line and at an angle , away from center and through the tail section . Do this on both sides of the tail section. Then, hold the fillet by the tail and pinch one side of the slit tail section. Then just pull slowly. The filet will peel apart like a zipper , right along the pin bones section. Do the other side and now you have two boneless filets with no waste. Cheers!

Dave, we brought home 3 eyes yesterday from the lake and tried the recipe today. My wife and I both loved them. Even better, I retained the title of “King of Being Right”. A little backstory; my wife and I on occasion will recollect certain events and/or facts differently. Over the years we’ve created the title of KOBR as a friendly, fair, and fun way to settle these disputes. So when an issue arises the challenger can request the King/Queen put the title on the line. In return the King/Queen can choose to accept the challenge in exchange for a certain favor or flatly refuse to accept the bet. The Title is not something to take lightly, so today when my wife and I disagreed on the cooking time you indicated in the video I really had to check myself before accepting her challenge. I decided to accept contingent upon her detailing my truck if she lost. The bet was on. We watched the video again, and I’m pleased to report not only was the dinner great but this week I’ll once again have a sparkling clean truck. 👍👍

Easier & faster if you behead the walleye, then use your knife blade up to slip under the skin & cut up; you don't dull your blade by cutting through the scales that way. Also, try cutting the pin bone strip free while the skin is still on... you can angle your knife to follow them more closely (wasting less meat) and when you skin the fillet, they literally fall out. =) By adding garlic, vinegar (from the chips), and salt to mayo, you just made your own Miracle Whip. What temperature do you bake them at? I have some walleye from Saginaw Bay in my fridge that I think I'm going to try this recipe on - thank you! =)

Larry, I think you missed the point. There is a tip-up on the shirt. Tip-ups are used for ice fishing and they have flags on them. Most of the time you kneel on the ice when setting these up or landing a fish. So, the tip-up flag is the only flag I kneel for. I stand for the American Flag. Sounds like you might be a vet. If you are, thank you for your service.

@@larry8743 You must be about the same age as my dad. He served in the Army during the Viet Nam era too. He was fortunate that he was stationed in Korea at the time of the Viet Nam conflict. He was only a couple of miles from the DMZ and although there was skirmishes along the DMZ it was better duty than what a lot of guys dealt with in Viet Nam. He was in Korea for the first year of my life. Just last Thanksgiving he took out his photo album from Korea and showed my boys. I think it was an eye opener for them to realize what many young men had to do right out of high school. Thanks again for your service.
