4:50 so interesting to hear Kev refer to this space as a "big walk-in wardrobe thing" because in the states that's such a tiny closet. We have walk-in closets in some houses (albeit in rich families) big enough to fit a bed and then some. But I fully get that most UK houses don't have closets. Just an interesting thing to hear! Congrats on the new place! It looks lovely 🎉 I can't wait to see it absolutely covered in LEGO 😅

Nice house. I wouldn't recommend a tumble dryer on an extension cord Kev.. Any appliance like tumble dryer or washing machine with high voltage should be on a mains wall socket. Might want to rethink that plan 🤔

Boring comment time here. If there is anywhere else you can fit your freezer other than the hallway, please do so. Basically any room where you can close the door to it at night and keep your escape route in the event of a fire clear. A fair few nighttime fires are caused by faulty white goods and so having them in your hallway/escape route is not ideal. If you have no other option then please make sure you have working smoke alarms in the hallway and take a mobile phone to your bedroom at night in case of an emergency. We care about you, Kev. Captain boring out!

We’ve run our washing machine off an extension lead for the last 4 years. And before that I ran my tumble dryer off an extension lead for nearly 20 years!

Running off an extension lead is fine as long as you’re running just that and literally nothing else. Otherwise you’ll overload the socket

Unfortunately not. Apparently houses and cars work differently from other expenses - but a proportion of the house can be, ie the bits that are used exclusively for work. Which in the new house would be the office and the Lego room.
