Our Next Gig is Live On Thursday

Playtime are a collective of Scottish Jazz musicians who host regular guests from the amazing Scottish jazz and improvised music scenes to celebrate the amazing musicians on the scene and the joy of making independent, underground, creative, and experimental music in front of a live audience. You can catch their concerts in person or by live/on catch up livestream on this channel.
On Thursday Playtime are joined by two thirds of Triptich (whose third member is our very own and beloved Mario Caribé) and these three wonderful musicians also represented three fifths of Moishe's Bagels! So we are joined by true Scottish music royalty - Phil Alexander on keys and accordion, and Greg Lawson on violin. We will be looking at the music of Argentina with the passionate, beautiful, sensuous tango form leading - including several pieces by the amazing Astor Piazzolla - who revolutionised the tango and made it something truly modern and cinematic in scope.
The concert will also feature Martin Kershaw (sax) and Tom Bancroft (drums) trying to keep up.
