I needed to hear this!!! I’m pregnant right now with my 2nd and my 1st has always co-slept with us so I’ve definitely been feeling the pressure/need to get her in her own room but I really don’t know if that’s gonna happen, she is stuck to me like glue! This was refreshing to watch.. you’re so real & relatable!!

Does the crying newborn wake up/ disturb the toddler? And does getting up to burp the newborn bother the toddler? Would love to know as I plan to cosleep with both too❤

So glad this video exists. I hate when other mom's judge me for co sleeping with my baby. I used to co sleep with my parents for a long time due to less rooms in the house but a bigger bed. Nothing happened to my Independence as an adult.

I'm SO happy I'm not the only one who co sleeps with both my children and their the same age gap as your two! I've gotten SOO many weird looks when I tell people I still cosleep with my almost 3 year old! And my child ALSO watches tv to go to sleep!

I have friends that still co sleep with their 4 and 2 year old! That’s not really my plan lol but they are wonderful parents and you do what works best for you! Can’t stand parents that judge others

Love your channel and this so much :) I co slept with both of my kids. They’re 6 and 8 now and safely / securely wanted that freedom of their own space and that’s when we naturally transitioned them to their own little spaces 🥰

It also saves a lot of energy and burn out during breast feeding or sleep regressions 🫶 it’s normalized in a lot of counties but the US isn’t caught up yet 😭 my close friend also co slept with all 3 of her children & they’re the most grounded and healthy/kind family I know!❤ they’re all grown up now

It’s funny how co sleep is a thing now ! In the past for many cultures this was so normal … to be honest it still is … usually children are more independent in the future … when they feel safe things go really smoothly Congrats to show us the real world

I never thought I would be bed sharing, being pregnant I thought the safest thing was in the bassinet and there's no question about him being in the bed since it's a big no-no... but oh boy, bedsharing has saved me and I love it! He sleeps way better and it's easy to breastfeed during the night! But girl, do I feel you on the short naps 😅 baby boy isn't so great about taking long naps, they're all cat naps and it's hard.

I was the same at before I had my daughter! Yes, the short naps makes it almost impossible to get anything done some days 😅

I love this!! I had my second baby in January and my toddler slept with us up until she was born. I tried for the first few weeks letting him still co sleep with us and the new baby but he moves around so much and kicks and wants to be all over the place when he sleeps so it didn’t work out for us😅 ended up moving him to his own bed and it was so hard for him because he is a big cuddler. But we are doing great now. I’m glad that you are doing what makes your family happy and comfortable. 💕

I may have an idea. I have no clue if it will work lol. Also, I have pregnancy sleep insomnia so hopefully this makes sense.. it's 5:20 am lol. You were saying how you were having a hard time getting her to nap in her room. Im thinking this idea will help for when you're ready to move them. So, what if you move her bed in your room and start with naps in her bed. It shows her that the bed is a safe place. She's still in your room. And once she gets comfortable with naps try bed time. I would think by the time she's able to fully sleep in her bed you will be ready to move them in their room and you may have an easier time! She will see her bed and know its sleep time and the room isn't just play time. Just a thought. Lol.

That is a really good idea! I have thought about possibly trying this. I think I might attempt it this week! Sleep insomnia did you good last night 🤣

I have a 23 month old and a 1 month old and I need help!!! We cosleep as well. I started since birth but in actual Bed not till she was 5 months old but it’s been so hard because I’m still nursing my 23 month old and thus making it harder at bedtime. Can you give me your daily schedule wake time, nap time, how you do naps with both and what time you actually put them to bed. My 23 month old is a night owl and never wants to go to sleep she likes to fight it to stay up with us.

Maybe you can put Evie's bed against your bed and co sleep that way so she still sleeps in her bed and eventually move it back to her room. That's what I did with my daughter's crib and we have the same one from ikea 😉 But idk, im like you, just going with the flow and whatever works for us and taking it day by day. But you all look happy and that's all that matters 💜

I have thought about that! I think that’s why I am gonna try and do first before just putting her in there. That way she is used to her bed!

I may have missed this from the video, but I wonder if both kids sleep in the center, between your husband and you? Baby next to you, and toddler next to him? Toddler doesn't squirm enough for you to worry about baby getting hit? Planning to do this but I'm nervous. Thanks!
@allimariee2 жыл бұрын
My toddler would sleep on one side of me and my baby would sleep on the other side of me! My toddler does not sleep still enough and would wake up my baby! I hope this is helpful!
@florencia.colella2 жыл бұрын
@@allimariee thank you! So does toddler sleep next to the edge? Do you have a rail or something, or is she not near the edge enough to run the risk of falling? I've been thinking of putting my bed with the edge next to the wall to keep both babies safer. Have you considered trying that and if so why did or didn't it work? Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts!
@allimariee2 жыл бұрын
@@florencia.colella my toddler would be in between my husband and I while my baby would sleep on his back in my arm on the opposite side and I always made sure to have his sock monitor on. I did not use a railing. I was super nervous about our sleeping situation before baby was here but sometimes you can plan all you want but it’s not until you are in the moment that you figure out what is going to work for you guys the best! 🥰
