The CBS answer to ABC success Peyton Place night time soaper . CBS had the magic as far as daytime soapers at that time . I wonder if they had filmed this in movie studio instead of taping in Grand Central Station like ATWT and its other daytime soaps it would been successful . That 20th Century Fox studio Hollywood glamour sure helped Peyton Place .

You are correct, inkyguy. Robert Drivas was a fantastic actor, as abundantly evident from his many TV guest star appearances (The Fugitive, The Defenders, Run For Your Life, so many more). Always top-rate, intense, . . . and perfect for the particular role. His portrayal of Morgan Midas on The Wild, Wild West in "The Night of the Burning Diamond" called for a conniving, devious, charming, evil and yet likable character. And Drivas pulled it off - expertly. With an undeniable flair, indicative of his innate acting talent. And talented, he was. No question. So sad he died so young.

I wonder how many Rambler Marlins there are left in the world. It was a very distinctive vehicle.
@gcfifthgear Жыл бұрын
The Marlin was introduced in February 1965 and dropped at the end of the 1967 model year. They were built on the Rambler Classic platform in 1965 and 1966, but were sold as American Motors Marlin in 1966 and 1967. The Marlin was moved up to the Ambassador platform in 1967. They sold some 10,300 cars in 1965, some 5,000 in '66 and barely 2500 in 1967. In fact, the Marlin--and attempts to make the Classic/Rebel larger to compete against the Big Three nearly drove AMC out of business in 1967

Dear Lisa, sorry I missed you, As I had been saying, when last I could see you, was World Peace. The simple answer. The only answer that I can think of in all the time I have spent trying to come up with an answer is World Peace. And it is World Peace later today, and if it pleases you, world peace tomorrow, even. Even before I arrived on the Island, I had been referring to the experience of feeling the World, as it started, apparently, to carve space in its mountains for little me as “the Game.” Though that name, title, something new had seemed rather uncanny, to tell you the truth, until just now, composing this next draft. I am wild about anagrams, which is surprising because historically, I have always been notoriously inept at riddles, puzzles, and the “Before and After” category on Jeopardy. I am hoping there will indeed be time to discuss my newfound affinity for them, reawakened during my first lengthy captivity. For now, yes, now I will just begin planting bulbs of that subplot by explaining how, if the word “game” were to be scrambled in the way that I am wont to scramble words until they grow new words with each touch of a busy fork, game would be one “I” short of the word “gimmick.” Looking back, I can only portend that I would feel very differently about this past hour spent moving this manuscript from a paper notebook, where all my drafts get going, if I had known that in a flat world such as ours, the only way to start having to endure a round one, with no corners to see around, is by reasoning that life in the world of hopes, the world of dreams, etc., etc., is either comprised of magic or gimmicks." Shea has been really supportive. Has only locked himself in the bathroom once since he did the previous time, which was when I hand wrote this draft. That it happens today is that day seems somehow fitting: It happened once. Why would I begin to presume it wouldn’t happen twice. Nevertheless, I fully intend to be present when he relinquishes the locked door and, in the meantime…mean time. I am just hearing that now first time. Anyway, and maybe we’ll talk about it if either one of us stays in Chicago longer than a season, but can you believe it? Me and a Shea Michael. I just don’t know that there are enough words in enough combinations to describe how thankful I am to you, to have this story to write.

Interesting show and would love to see more but I can understand why it failed. It feels like a daytime soap on at nighttime. Anyway, the ad is hilarious for its subtle-yeah-not-subtle look at 15:17 -- "I think my friend thinks I stink." And who folds and soaps up a towel like that? Doesn't she have any smaller washcloths?
