Our Rural Puerto Rico Life: Maricao Coffee Festival, Aguada Hacienda Chocolat, & our Flower Farm

Here is a bit of our life in rural western Puerto Rico. Much of our days are spent doing agricultural activities like taking care of farm animals and plants, going to agricultural festivals like this coffee festival in Maricao or visiting other local farms like Hacienda Jeanmarie Chocolat. We love country life!

I always enjoy your videos. Just to clarify some information. Cataño and Hormigueros are the smallest town on square miles. Maricao is not the smallest in area it might be on population. Thanks!

How do you find out when different festivals are going on in different pueblos?

Hey Mike! There's a few different websites and groups online that list them. Also most of them do it around the same time each year. Almost every town has either a harvest festival like this one or a patron saint festival (fiestas patronales). So you can always ask the city. Most cities also have an encendido party for Christmas about 1 to 2 months before Christmas. Follow the municipality pages for the towns you usually visit and you'll find good info usually.
