Have you considered asking the owner of the grain bins where you've stayed if they used an architect to make blueprints on their build? If so, would you recommend them?

Your entrance and front porch is awesome- my opinion is need to finish the outside first to insure the integrity of your site - finish stairway and porch - waterproof stain - insulation of floor underneath pre install electric and plumbing opening into silo- beef up floor underneath if you think it’s needed . ❤️💕

A vapor barrier on top of floor & ran up 6” all the way around is how you will keep the moisture/water from the inside floor space from intruding from outer rim of grain bin

I love everything that you do, great inventors and pioneers all did things their way. Taking someone else’s ideas and tweaking it now makes it your ideas, this makes it different and original. What’s in your mind and off plan, when completed is self satisfaction and should make you feel a great sense of achievement and accomplishment. ROCKIN’ CROCKERS ❤

I LOVE the fact that you “try” and succeed and that you “try” and fail….but you LEARN. You then have experience and experience is EVERYTHING! Don’t overthink but listen, learn, try, fail, accept suggestions that make sense, reject suggestions which don’t apply to you and your situation, and JUST KEEP GOING !! We love you both and most of us only want the best for you. You are on a great journey and I thank you for bringing us along. Dave

I have kind of an off the walk question... If you were building the tiny house like before, you put OSB/Plywood/hardy board, something down... Technically you already have the base, so putting the moisture barrier tyvec down the building up from there with a flat board screwed into the deck, then 2*6 on side to build up floor... I can see it in my head but not explaining well. Draw maybe draw several circles in each other 4' apart to equal 24', then connect those with 4' boards. The circles actually being boards that their ends are cut at 45° angles, and connected. The smallest being maybe 12" in diameter with boards radiating out to the next circle. I think the truck would be making sure the circles are not too big or too small to be able to have the right foundation. I think it could be figured out in an art program how many "circles", how many sides they would need, so not true circles, and then how many boards would radiate out to the next circle and so on... I have seen an image of this before, but cannot remember where. It's tedious, but would give the best strength, ai think ...

I applaud Danielle for squeezing her thoughts in. I lose what I'm saying when others inject but, to me, I prefer they do. I pause and repeat my thought in my head until they are done speaking... or sometimes I just let my own thought go because if I can't remember it, it wasn't that important to begin with. I always have a lot to say and I'll always have something to add. So... from those of us like me, to you, Thank you! ❤🎉

I listen to people who have actual experience. This is an electronic form of "kibbitzing", that's what they called it when I was a little kid. Putting your two cents in or giving unwanted and unqualified advice. I sit here and watch and have thought of ways I would do things but you're the ones who are hands on. The experience is all that counts. Keep on keepin' on.😉

I agree with other, that you need to do what you want to do. Mark 9:23 BELIEVE AND ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE. Jason you will figure it out, building a tiny house is like a puzzle 🧩 I have done research on building a grain bin house on a existing deck and you’re right there isn’t any, you will be the first which should be an inspiration to all on your channel. I know I have commented a few times and all I want to do is support you. I feel in love with barndominiums years ago and really wanted to build one but my husband said absolutely NOT. He isn’t a visionary and I am but I just turned 70 our home is almost paid off and he doesn’t want to start over, which I get it. You kids do what is best for you, and run with your vision.

Just had a thought: I know when studding building sometimes metal is used. Metal is lighter than wood and maybe cheaper(don’t know). Just thought maybe the metal could be screwed into itself and be very stable. Then can walls be attached to that? Maybe all this after spray insulating the bin before putting things up and helping insulate it and help prevent any leaks behind the walls

Are you going to put something over or on the floor of the deck inside the house before you build the frame for the floor and will you be insulating the floor? I don't know if you said before . After seeing the cabin in Texas, I think it is going to even better when it is finished.

Another thought I had was to practice cuts with a tin coffee can. You could cut the can in half and just tape the halves together after you try the steps you want to attempt. This would probably prevent a lot of costly mistakes.

Excellent 👌.there are stages of building any building project.especially of an unknown build, figuring, failing, and learning a correct/better,or faster way of doing something is part of gaining experience of building.. keep it up guys,I'm an O.G.Crocker viewer..

Many people dont like to think below the surface of things, that means having to use their head for more than a hat rack. You're very successful, youve built a thriving youtube channel, you've learned a LOT about building by DOING , failing and doing again, self taught by experience. You've persuaded an intelligent , gorgeous woman to be your wife and you're not done yet being successful. Not trying to reinvent the wheel...Jason, if it'd been done already you'd of done found an example and it would'nt have been as appealing to you to try and would be looking for something else instead. Love seeing what ya come up with next, it assures me years of being able to see all you do because it will never ALL be finished, because your life is far from finished. Rock on with it!
