I think here in American we tend to think the rest of the world only drives small 4 cylinder cars and wouldn't know a V8 if they saw it. Glad to see that's not the case at all!
@12cm323 жыл бұрын
I have to ask, did you ever drive an original phase 3 gtho? My mate had one and let me drive it. I’m still in awe of the thumping “let me out” that I didn’t submit to. Still remember that drive: Punch it! Short stab on the pedal and locker diff launch with tyres peeling! Most powerful car from factory ever. Mate built a mopar that went harder with smaller cubes, 318 and shocked me. Lighter car.

Great line of Aussie cars! Everything I know about them I've learned from your channel. Since I'm an American, it's really interesting to compare Aussie muscle and American muscle. I love them both! Great job!

That's great to hear. We have a lot more Aussie Muscle Cars to showcase. This is only a fraction of what we had on offer here in Aus. We had some great Mopar stuff too.

We seem to have a lot of the same tastes us Aussies and U mericans part from 4 door muscle but U see a lot of our muscle are quite similar.
@davidb0126a3 жыл бұрын
@@seanbayley7452 Yes, very similar. Please, take no offense, I know we all learn to love what we grow up with, but I kinda scratch my head when I see some of the 4-door muscle cars y'all have. It's obvious that a lot of blood, sweat, tears, time, money and talent went into building them and they're every bit as good as anything we build over here. KZbin is a great way to experience different view points from around the world. Y'all keep up the great work! 👍

I can live with that list, that HQ is one tuff mother, but the A9X in standard form from the factory wasn't much of a muscle cars in performance figures
@GlennEverittMasterofMachines3 жыл бұрын
Spot on Jim. While the A9X was superior on the race track with the new freedoms within the rules at the time, the L34 was a much angrier machine with all the goodies needed for a more comprehensive homologation required at the time. I’m keen to feature an L34, and a lot more cars for that matter. We have some great stuff lined up.

In my opinion; GMH + Chev = selling out the Aussie v8, the Australian worker and the Australian public. I have little respect for GMH for what they did at Bathurst years ago. However, I am disappointed in mostly seeing Ford then Holden, Holden … Holden and Holden in your top 10. Better luck next time I think.

I worked on 2 Falcon 6 turbos that were built for someone implicitly involved with DJ Racing. In those days, 300kw rwhp was almost unheard of for a street car, and setting them up as a suspension specialist was great fun. I also worked on a VL Commodore Aero. Factory twin turbo 304.
