Well if the two of you aren't the sweetest ladies around, I don't know who is. This was done beautifully (thank you Angela). I hope there's going to be more of these. I'd like to think this is just the tip of the iceberg and that there's more to come from seasoning and spice arsenal. Thank you for sharing.

I love listening to U both. Your love for Jesus and cooking r my favorite things. Vanilla bean is too expensive here in California. So I use the pure vanilla in a bottle. I am gluten and non-gmo free. I don't think you have that in Jamaica. I am from Trinidad, and hearing you ladies makes me so longing to go back to my Island. Many thanks for your secrets and love of Jesus.

Love this basic ingredient lesson Faye. Onion, scallion, garlic and thyme are indeed the basics of Jamaican cooking. however, I always try to use the best ingredients in my cooking and until I discovered the vanilla bean I always used the essence - now I use the bean. the flavour is much more potent and therefore you don't have to use a lot of it. Right now boiling water to make sorrel. sorrel from my Dad's garden in Florida and of course I will be adding root ginger and pimento berries and clove plus the secret ingredient - some orange peel. (A tip from my Dad).
@CookLikeAJamaican8 жыл бұрын
