Andre, you can reboot the ECU by pressing CTRL+F12 instead of physically keying off and on again ;-)

I'm not tuning my own car, but have an elite 2500 with these features. It's great understanding them more, seems like you can get a really clean tune with that software. I appreciate these webinars, so enlightening. :)

Fantastic content once again guys!👍 especially in showing the individuals out there what's inside the members only webinars, money well spent in my opinion especially when you get concise information on misunderstood topics that leave people in the dark. As the banner says "tuning is not black magic it's a science you can learn" hope that everyone there in NZ are doing alright during these times. Cheers!✌

For those who don't know, Haltech has a lot of very informative videos on their yt page as well.

They sure do, some great ones as well. We also have a full 10 step guide on learning how to tune using a Haltech ECU from start to finish, lots of solid info available for Haltechs out there :) - Taz.

Excellent content once again! These webinars are very informative and the questions you ask in interview always seem to bring up crucial points. I have been very interested in The VR38DETT platform lately. I'm not sure if it could merit an episode. But in your interview with Tony Palo at ETS he mention s the ECU interfacing with a TCM. I'm interested in making around 1000 hpn with a sequential. Would having this kind of set-up be useful? Or is it only relevant to the really high HP applications for drag racing? Thanks again!

A patch harness and base tune for the Z33 to elite would be a great product. Can you share that patch diagram for others to build?
@hpa101 Жыл бұрын
I don't have any documentation on that sorry, it was a while back and it was probably done a little different to how you might as Andre set the car up so he could swap between a Haltech, AEM and Link ECU in a few minutes (for HPA purposes. No one would ever do that normally). If you're a member you can post on the forum if you want help with creating your own though for sure - Taz. www.hpacademy.com/forum?

@@hpa101 Completely understandable. I have a 300zx 350z de 350z hr so it be night my self to be able to have a similar set up. But id really like to get the elite into me DE or HR 350z

Not quite, the forums are paid access, but it is cheap and the same membership gives access to all the members webinars too. It is however helpful for sure =D Cheers for the support - Taz.

I am new to this but. that target values, does they already set up by default when you connect to ECU ? I bought this rx7 FD and came with Haltech 1500

That closed loop trim still needs a lot of programming work. Seems to be suffering from the same issues I ran into 14 years ago when I wrote my own Haltech auto tuning software.

what is "page up for power"?
@TeeeRoyJenkins3 жыл бұрын
Page up makes a big change (in the positive direction) to the highlighted box, so if it were your Boost Duty % you'd add a big % of boost to it, or timing, etc
@sparky173j3 жыл бұрын
Control + page up gives a smaller increase, and shift + page up gives a bigger increase.

It's gotta be the Adaptronics acquisition resulting in the Gold. That looks like a seriously powerful tuning tool. Prior Haltech was so bad there are memes and a rap song about it. Adaptronics is super geek mega tuning running 24 plugs multi spark with an add on module. Andre that was an awesome demo on the Gold, I'd feel comfortable enough to jump right on it now. Some seriously powerful features. I'm going to say you are so spot on. There are even well known tuners that are not really reaching the proper tune at the end. It's far to common for guys to start running wot and dropping out as they block fill the tables from the run. Only set timing at max rpm creeping up until it stops making power and ship it out the door. That's a great way to get everything close really quick but not the final product. Those are the cars that stink driving around at 2000rpm throttle cracked open running 12.5:1 throwing money away as they go. An LS/LT will run great throttle cracked with dual tables based on TPS less than 15-20% with 15.5:1 even 16:1 with rpm range of 1800-2800. Timing will be way advanced out like 44 degrees if you're at 34 wot. It's kind of like dod but with all cylinders firing. My guess is that vw did something like this that got them through emissions testing. No matter how you slice it, there's no way a diesel is close to a gas/petrol engine emissions when they are running near 60:1 most of the time. They have a hard on over particulates that are heavier than air??? Whiskey tango foxtrot, over? Let's put 3.5 times the CO/CO2 in the air per mile/km traveled because of soot?? Are you freaking kidding me?
@seinfeld111233 жыл бұрын
i have a question. can you run LIVE closed loop? meaning using wideband in real time setting a target afr and the ecu self corrects on the fly because from what I understand it has a trim table. and then you need to apply the trim tables at later date??
