Our Top Ten Meccano Models

Just out of curiosity….I have a new 2022, 25 in 1, meccano set. I also recently acquired two old American Gilbert sets. My meccano set doesn’t have any gears. It also doesn’t have the chain I saw in one of the builds. Do you have to get the older meccano sets for those types of things? Thanks!!

Hi Mattie, yes, you'll only find gears etc. in the old sets. But there are several dealers online offering all the parts separately, and also on eBay.

Meccano, c'est génial, ce jeu n'a pas d'âge, je construis depuis 20 ans, j'ai connu ce jeu quand j'étais gamin (10 ans) et je m'y suis remis, j'en ai 70.
