I literally said "good girl" to my computer when Sprite jumped on your hand! I have never been so proud of an animal I have never actually met before. I am so glad that they are being so well taken care of! I love birds, but I know I don't have the current resources or knowledge to have them, so I am content watching others take great care of such beautiful birds.

Thank you so much for sharing these two beauties. Sunny in particular is absolutely gorgeous - the sheen of her feathers is absolutely captivating. I first learned about turacos from your channel and was really fascinated to learn they're the only birds that actually have true green pigment in their feathers. I really enjoy seeing them whenever they're featured and I really hope to someday be able to have the opportunity to observe them in the wild. :)

Sunny seems like an ideal “captive” bird, including how she seems relatively QUIET! If these two are like night and day, I wonder how different all the various turaco species are in captivity, and furthermore on an individual level. There are some very pretty turacos in Africa. Sunny has the curiosity, personality, and sociability you would want in any parrot, dove or toucan, minus the deafening calls, killer bills or projectile guano of toucans! As far as i know… lol

I'm wondering if a 37 by 27 by 18 inch Bird Cage Is good for 2 partakeets
@tzxazrael4 жыл бұрын
you should just get 1 completeakeet instead of 2 parts... har har har! but yea, for 2 parakeets/budgies, that's probably ok. 2 slightly smaller cages would be better, and they'll need lots of time OUT of the cage as well, but it should be ok. make sure they have doubles of everything (food/water bowls, so on..) to avoid them getting territorial over anything.
@aza59844 жыл бұрын
That size is not large enough if you are not allowing them to fly outside of the cage. A cage for parakeets should be horizontal and long enough that they can fly (not jump) from perch A to perch B. Look for cages on Amazon they have cheap and good ones, a recommended model would be (example) Kerbl Bird Cage Rose 80X45X75 CM it allows them to fly from point A to point B. Please make sure to look at the metals used in the cage it is not rarely that parakeets are affected by metal toxicity, google this for more infos. Also I cannot stress enough how important a diet is, do not feed foods with sunflower seeds and you are best served with pellets (Harissons being the top line) always complement with vegetables. I stress this because a large % of birds will die from a bad diet especially with liver and renal failure. Source: We own a bird shelter.

The bunny on top of Sunny’s cage is so sad 😭 please please please don’t tell me that’s it’s home
@animalsareawesome26684 жыл бұрын
That bunny’s name is Cheeks he is a Netherland Dwarf rabbit. Cheeks is an older rabbit and he prefers a smaller space. When Cheeks was younger he lived in a larger enclosure with other animals, but as he got older he stopped appreciating the company of other animals. When he got put in the small cage he made it very clear that he liked it a lot. So Cheeks is a very happy bunny and he is lucky to be living at animal wonders. :) There are also a lot of videos about him you could watch. 🐰
